We've been focused on free agency and the draft more than a decision which will likely have more long-term impact on this franchise than the #2 pick.

    From an AP article:
"For now, there is no timeline yet to hire the new president or if the team will use a search firm. The new president could have ties to the NFL, business or the college ranks. Underwood noted that former players could be another pool of talent to consider with John Elway's success running the Broncos and Ozzie Newsome with Baltimore."

I can't imagine the Titans being able to do this totally under the radar in this day and age so I expect a few rumors to begin leaking out soon. As much as I'd like to see someone in place well before the opening of training camp, I'd rather they take their time and hope they could find someone with some football connections.

Anyone hearing anything on President/CEO candidates?

Absolutely...huge mistake by Bud to get rid of him back in the day IMO...

I have not heard much beyond the Peyton and Eddie chatter on here, but I am not local.

IMO whatever is done there should be two conditions that the new CEO should be non-negotiable on:

    1. Autonomy from the ownership group on day to day decisions.

    2. A suitable year 1 allowance for buyouts to help with the early phase toilet flushing work that needs to happen.

If the new CEO has those two items as part is the contract I think that we could see improvement relatively quickly assuming he is a good hire.

I know Eddie wants it, from a PR standpoint he would be an outstanding hire. Everyone in Nashville still respects him, the fans get to cling to the "glory days" a bit longer and he has a pretty level head when it comes to football. He's been on a few networks for football discussions and never remember a time where he was a troll or had some crazy out there opinions.

I know Eddie is well liked. But I'm not so sure I'd trust him to run the franchise. What experience or qualifications does he have? Just because it's worked out for Elway doesn't mean Eddie can do it.

Not saying he couldn't do it. Just sounds very risky to me and can't say I'd be super thrilled with that hire. Would come off like a desperate PR move imo.
