Movie Thread

Her downfall is she really just has that one schtick. That whole, "Yeah I know I'm fat but I'm sassy and I don't take no mess!" schtick. It's the kind of the thing that can be funny in small doses (Bridesmaids), but can get old real quick. When you try to support an entire movie (or movieS, plural) with it, it's just not going to have the same effect.

But speaking of funny women, SNL has a handful of f'ing hilarious women on the show right now. The show itself is, eh whatever, right now but I can't remember there ever being a time where the female cast members so clearly outshined the boys. I'll be surprised if one or two of them don't break out and become "stars".

 

I actually laughed a good bit in that movie, but I went back to watch it and just couldn't.

I thought she was hilarious in Bridesmaids, but that was really the first time I saw her.

First time I ever saw her was actually in an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm... she was much, much smaller. Still chubby, but almost unrecognizable in comparison to her current self.

She plays the same character every time and relies on her obesity and annoying behavior to be funny. I'm beyond tired of her though.

Who was she in Curb? I don't recall.

 

She was just in one episode.

I think Larry was buying a mulatto (bi-racial lol) doll and she was an employee at the store.

It was the surrogate episode.

Parks and Rec has two of the funniest women on television, ya'll just haters.

 

Lol that's a good ep. Love how proudly he says "it's a mulatto"..... then, crickets.

Don't remember her though.

If you find yourself laughing at a woman's jokes you need to reevaluate some things


Only women think other women are funny.

 

Aubrey Plaza is genuinely hilarious. Aziz is the only 'hilarious' man on that show.
