Titans add veteran WR Derek Hagan

Exactly. He was a nice story (no-name white boy out of Montana, goes on to make the pro bowl) but that's about it. As we Titan fans do with most of our players who have some early success, he's been pretty significantly overrated. He's a "solid" returner and a mediocre-at-best receiver. Guys like that are a dime a dozen. If he doesn't take a significant step forward as a WR during camp then I think his time here is most likely over.

 

MM will have his shot and I wish him the best, but I don't see it happening in TN for him


could definatly, if he stays healthy, be one of those 3rd week of the season signing for some team

 

Mariani will make the team and I bet he is still improving his receiving skills. He may surprise everyone this year. Although he will be no more than a number 4 in this receiving core.

 

If Mariani is our #4, we are in for a long season.

FYI, this is from the guy who said Mariani was a "must sign" a few months ago. Granted, that was before we signed 2 other return guys.

 

Mariani was a must sign before we signed the other returners. Who did you want Reynaud? Wylie? Yea lets not sign our two time pro bowl return man. Good idea ten good idea. It can't be a good thing that Whisenhunt wanted to resign him. No ten knows better than one of the best offensive minds in the league.
