Whether he is to blame, or not. He said the Titans did him dirty. They did, its a truthful statement. End of story. It doenst matter that CJ was one of my most disliked Titans by the end of his time here. Facts are still facts.

Just because we dont like him and we are butthurt, doesnt make the statement false.

 

The only thing I am butthurt about CJ is his 1 yard or no yard gains on consecutive carries. The door couldn't hit him where the good Lord split him fast enough.

 

How did the titans do him dirty when cj was willing to renegotiate his contract with a team that traded for him but not the titans (the team that drafted him)? That absolves the titans from any wrongdoing.

 

TWW2, is that you? Maybe you forgot that CJ seemed to think himself above even meeting his new Head Coach? He refused to even meet with the FO about renegotiating his salary, but stated that he would take a pay cut to facilitate a trade?

The fact here is that CJ overestimated his market value while attempting to stage another hold-out like he did to get his last contract. He found out the hard way that he wasn't worth the $8 million he wanted, and that once he was on the open market only one team thought he was worth even half of that.

The Titans didn't do him dirty. They simply refused to allow him to dictate the terms of his release or trade. They held on to him as long as possible to try to either keep him or recover some of their investment. It's not "revenge", it's called a "good business decision".

CJ better man up and play, or get used to more pay cuts. He's getting $4 mill this year, and 31 teams in the league currently think he's overpaid.

 

No this is me. I couldn't care less about what he is saying now. He's gone. Did we handle it right? No! Did we handle McNair's release right? No! There's a reason McNair never retired a Titan. Come week 14 I expect we will be out of the playoff race and so will the Jets, however CJ will prolly go off on us. Will I be upset? No. I will laugh.

You seem to have mellowed out on the CJ thing, and on that we can agree. Let's see what happens with the new blood, if nothing else it should be a welcome change from FisherBall!
