There really isn't a QB controversy. Everyone knows this is Locker's last year and considering we didn't bring in a good QB during FA, trade for one or draft one in the early rounds then it's safe to say the Titans are giving Locker a final shot before moving on.

When did he ever play behind as weak a QB as Jake Locker?

Doesn't get much easier than this.

Your other points are all nonsense. It's out there that the Titans wanted Carr. What were they going to use to trade up with?... Don't use that as your crutch for denial.

There is no "free year", thats nonsense. If Whiz didn't trust Jake, Jake wouldn't be No.1 QB today.

Mettenberger won't do much of anything in the NFL. He isn't a future franchise quarterback. At best, he'll be barely serviceable enough to start. Waste of a pick.

Do you think that the Colt fans are pissed that they didn't have a better backup behind Manning?

If Locker gets hurt then I hope Mett gets some experience while we lose a bunch of games and get the 1st pick in the draft next yr.

    LOL.

If they wanted him SO incredibly much.. they had a chance to take him at #11.. if they were SO sold on him. They could have gotten a trade done with someone... and plus, as I mentioned. Players are still up for trade even after they are picked. Lewan clearly could have been traded for a late 1st, and a 2nd.

There are a million ways it could have been done.. The browns traded around about 15,000 times during the 1st round.

But it wasn't done. I'm sure they would have liked Carr. But they did not pull the trigger on him. That's a fact, and at the end of it all, that's what matters.. not "wants." I'm sure the Titans wanted Rashard Mendenhall in the draft. They ended up with CJ. What does that "want" for Mendenhall mean today? Literally nothing.

    What denial?

I think Locker sucks. What am I denying? That Whitehurst is a legitimate option as a starter? Then yes. I am totally in denial. Caught me.

DW doesn't even know what Locker can do, he's said it before, he doesn't watch the games.

No wonder he's always unhappy. He's a Lions AND Titans fan.

He should make the trifecta and be a Browns fan.

Unless both Jake and Whitehurst go down, you will never see Mett on the field outside of the preseason. He still has to beat out Tyler Wilson also, and this team isn't going to carry 4QB's.
