That is easily the best DL in the league, but I hate to say it appears the Texans may end up having the best front 7. That was the Niners, but no Aldon Smith (and no Bowman for now)... They did get Borland who I like though.

Even though I was a "Fisher hater," I disagree that all hope is lost if he misses the playoffs this season. He just needs to show a little improvement. 2015 is do or die though. I think it would take a pretty bad season for him to be fired after year 3. We know the league thinks he's a top 5 coach for whatever reason, so they'll at least give him year 4.

it is still going to be an extremely difficult task to make the playoffs in that division. If the Rams had this team in 2010 they would cruise to a division title - even with Fisher. NFC West was the worst in the league then. Worst to best in less than three years.

I think trying to compare these is a bit of a stretch. The fact is JR could play better than most around him...despite that he was still fighting his way to prove it while doing it.

Sam will make the team if he can play at this level and that is still an unknown just as it is with most draft picks. The problem is IF he does get cut at some point people will continue to throw his orientation out as the sole reason.

In any case...to me it's a non story. If he had said nothing none of this would even be a story.

And to all posters keep any slurs out of the discussion.

If you were building a college all star team I would agree with you there :p

Some of you people are more childish than I imagined. "Faggy" and then some meathead high fives it? Good job.

As far as Fisher goes, this is a very Fisherish team, despite being built differently. Monster pass rush and should be able to run the ball effectively. Still has no real answer at QB and I am questioning his reveiving threats. I am sure Fisher loves no QB controversy.

I don't feel like he can really compete in that division without a QB, SEA and SF are doing what he does but better. He could still finish 10-6 and not make the playoffs. Again, not getting the most out of his team because he refuses to put himself out there.

I get the feeling the Rams will supplant the 9ers in that division this year. The Cards have been making serious moves the last two seasons as well so they might make a run as well. It's a very exciting division to watch. Despite Seattle being the heavy favorite anyone can really take it.

The Rams had the youngest defense in the league last year. Give them another year and they should be one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Yesterday Fisher did what he's good at, and that is getting his team talked about.
