The fact that someone has to justify whether CJ runs hard or not remembering literally one game, (which ironically was last knowing he wouldn't be in TN) is sad...I know he isn't a bigger back and whatnot, but anyone that knows football Titans fan or not, would say his physical play and effort was lackluster at best. There is nothing to argue, he wanted out, and it showed. Next! The draft, a healthy Greene, and DMC will fix that.

Blocking can improve, but some of that was CJ also....He missed holes and didn't hit the gaps quickly. He also went down on first contact WAY too often. That will not change in NY because their Offensive line blows, so good luck to him. The Titans OL will be better this year, write that down.

Then why did all the rb's struggle. Even the so called power backs like Greene and Battle?

I didn't say they did well, but they also damn near matched CJ's YPC...and they are not making 8 million dollars a year either. I agree that the line was not the best, and clearly it needs to improve. That being said, Battle sucks and is a 3rd tier back, Greene was injured and out, and not getting the amount of carries CJ had, so you can't really pull that card, but good try. He is your ACE RB. Bad blocking or not, he sucked, and it showed. To argue that, makes you look silly because you are implying that EVERYONE on this forum and EVERY professional analyst is wrong about his play, but you are right somehow....

My point is any RB would have sucked on this team last year with the exception of a RB like Lynch or AP.

Maybe so...We don't know that because CJ didn't step up as a leader and grab the bull by the horns. He didn't run with fire behind him or make things happen, which is what he is PAID to do. He ran lazy often, and went down too fast. If you are going to suck and not getting help from the line, fine....but at least do it with some effort and earn your money and contract. He has no business being arrogant and pointing fingers last year. His play is diminishing and everyone knows it. The point is, why pay a 29 year old with slowing legs 8 million for average production when you could pay 2 rookies for less?......The line is what it is, it will improve and start to gel in time.

I feel better about new coaching, a 2nd year Chance Warmack, a healthy Levitre, Schwenke, Oher (lack of big country) and Roos anyday. Add a back that wants to play here on young legs, and possibly another piece or 2 for depth on the line, and maybe they turn it around.

Let me see you run with a torn meniscus and see how well you do? If AP would have had the numbers CJ had on a torn meniscus people would have been jacking his di ck instead of calling for his head.

Big Country was better than Oher.
