Moving Up or Down from #11

The Vikings traded back in to the first round last year when they traded for the Pats' pick at 29 for Cordarrelle Patterson. This is what they gave up;


Second round pick, No. 52 overall: Used on linebacker Jamie Collins, an eight-game starter and improved performer down the stretch. The Patriots viewed Collins as an upside pick in the second round, as his natural movement skills are obvious. He projects as a full-time starter as soon as 2014.

Third round pick, No. 83 overall: Used on cornerback Logan Ryan, who led all NFL rookies with five interceptions this season. Though not an every-week starter yet, Ryan has turned out to be one of the better values in the third round and a keeper in the secondary.

Fourth round pick, No. 102 overall: Used on wide receiver Josh Boyce, who finished with nine catches this season, while also providing value as a kickoff return man. Boyce was recently placed on injured reserve, though he will add value as a wideout next season, perhaps as a slot man.

Seventh round pick, No. 229 overall: This may have turned out to be the most important piece of the deal as it relates to 2013, as this pick was sent along with Jeff Demps to Tampa Bay in exchange for running back LeGarrette Blount, nearly the team's leading rusher (he rushed for one yard less than Stevan Ridley).

If we trade back with a team that picked before us we better get more than a third round pick(since we're totally missing out on a first round selection in 2013 in that scenario).

I'm not in love with any of the Qb in this draft class. I really want to see us establish a good run game, and a solid defense before we bring in a new QB. Especially, in a year when we are switching to a 3-4.

I like the idea of making the D nasty first...I said it all along, the defense was better than Offense last year. Take it from being good, to GREAT with a better DC in Horton, which will automatically improve the offense, then they can go heavy offense next year. That being said, I think this will be a heavy offensive draft.

 

With the depth in this draft, I think it is going to be really tough to move down.

 

As much as I want a defense heavy draft. I see us going QB, possibly 2 RB, and a WR or Te.

 

Zero chance we move up.

Slight chance we move down. Chance depends mostly on a qb or ot slipping to us that someone else wants

 

I think Miami might need to move up to get one of the OTs. I'd definitely take their first two picks for #11 if none of the elite players are available.

San Fran has the ammo to make a pick leap if they wanted to. Anyone else up for moving all the way down to #29?

 

If the QB we want is gone I'll move back to 29 for both their seconds.

 

With them filling a few holes in FA it's hard to tell. But for some reason I wouldn't be suprised if they moved
