I like Sammy Watkins and think that he will be a very good player in the NFL, but I just don't understand why all these mocks have him going top 10. In my mind to be a top 10 drafted WR you have to be Calvin Johnson like. I just don't see that in Watkins. Yes it is a passing league more and more, but WRs just are not the difference makers in winning championships. A great QB can make WRs better, but a great WR can not win games for his team without a decent QB.

With WR being one of the deepest positions in this draft, I just don't see the value in drafting Watkins or Evans early in the 1st. Wait until the 2nd rnd and grab a guy like Jordan Matthews. I don't see how their is such a big difference between Matthews and Evans on all of these draft boards either. If you look at their on field production the numbers are even and then at the combine their times and results were about the same.

Teams that take a WR early in this draft are not being very smart.

I see where you are going with this. I agree that someone like a Mike Evans or a big body could contribute more potentially with regards to mismatches etc. It really depends on where Watkins lands to be honest. If he gets a top notch QB with some weapons around him, it could be real ugly for defenses. The dude is definitely a top 3 receiver in the draft and skilled though, and he won't fall far just for the "Big play" ability alone. I personally want Defense for the Titans.

I agree with this, no way I would take a wr that early if I'm a gm.

I haven't spent much time looking at Safeties this year, but I think every position is deep, we really should look to trade back and collect picks.

I think the better question is why is everyone so down on Marqise Lee?

    cause his mother can't spell..?

No IDK, but he is a good player. Ive stayed out of most the receiver talks, but could be his injuries last year?

I think it's just best to throw last year out. The injuries obviously hurt him, but his QB play was even more detrimental.
