All right, all of this talk about Kam being under Horton and taking it is making me uncomfortable.

My last point stands. You are being an idiot.

Of course they bought him and sold him. He signed a contract giving them the ability to do just that. No one forced him to sign it, and the NFLPA agreed to everything in it. On top of that, he was paid more money than most of us will ever see.

The reason I argue with Urban Legend about this is because I think he actually has the critical thinking skills to reach a reasonable conclusion. In your case, maybe you should go sit in on a 5th grade lesson on slavery if you still don't see the difference.

If you continue to be blatantly ignorant though, you are going to be the first person I put on my ignore list. But I'm not going to continue to argue about it.

If that wasn't a question you could answer yourself, the point stands. It was a dumb question at the very least, and you can think whatever you want. If I disagree, I'll tell you. And if it is so wrong it gives me a headache, I'll tell you a little more blatantly. Not trying to call you or anyone else out, or deal "consequences", that's just how I am going to reply.

As far as what you want to say, you never actually responded to what I said. With that in mind, say whatever you want, I'm not trying to censor the forum, which seems to be what you are implying. If it gets to a point where it starts going in circles I just won't respond.

I try not to make assumptions. I wanted to know what people on this board thought about the term "wage slave". How could I possibly know what each individual poster's opinion on it was without first asking the question? But i'll answer your question.

The idea than an NFL player could be considered a "wage slave" is ridiculous because the athlete actually has the option to stop working without going homeless or starving to death. While I still maintain that these non-guaranteed contracts are far from fair I would never equate it to slavery in any form.

As far as the actual term wage slave I'm not sure I buy into it but it is definitely an interesting concept. When I hear it I think back to the old days when people would work for a company, live in company housing, and were paid in script that could only held value at the company store. This isn't exactly slavery but it's pretty close.

I am not surprised at all that instead of betting on Britt's statistics, as Riverman and I are doing, you WANT to bet for Britt to do better than Titans WRs. Probably cause you are a fake ass fan that only roots for players instead of the Titans.

Go post in the Britt thread, I'll bet whatever $ amount you want as long as a portion goes to GoTitans tip jar. And with one caveat, if the loser doesn't pay (the GoTitans portion) then he is banned.

This way when you stiff me, I'll still win.

I'll take the bet you list above. Post it in the Britt thread with a dollar amount to make it official.

    big picture

yes they both made a play or two here and there

Im more talking about the Titans lack of winning with them than their ability.

Sometimes its not all the players fault, but I dont care if its 75/25 or 60/40 or whatever. Titans did not win with either one
