This reminds me, what's your take on McCarron?

 

Good arm, very accurate, quick delivery, makes good decisions and moves around well in the pocket... has some elusiveness and decent speed to make plays with his legs if need be.

The only reason he isn't looked at as a potential first rounder is because of the ACL injury and he's considered small at 6'0"... and every time people pass on a QB just because of his height the guy turns out to be a stud.

As a 4th round pick, he is very low risk. It's a no-brainer if he's there. Murray sure as hell looks the part to me. Everyone here wants him in the 4th because of the value there and low risk.

Go read any analysis on him... The only weaknesses are his height and ACL. That's it.

Seeing as we don't have a good QB right now, why would you not take Murray in the 4th?

Who the **** did we release that has better tools than Murray? Fitzpatrick? VY? Either way, that's an incredibly stupid thing to say on your part.

Please give me a good reason why not to draft Murray and roll with Locker and Clipboard Jesus.

 

A lot of people like Murray because he has it all minus the height, which is becoming less and less of a problem. Most people saying that without the injury he is in the Grappo/McCarron 2nd tier. So it be able to get him in the 4th and sit/rehab for a year would be perfect for us. He has the accuracy and experience to help us win more games.

 

Mccarron has a better skill set and is 3 1/2 inches taller than Murray. McCarron was certainly a better big game QB in the sec.

 

I would not object to drafting Murray in the 5th rd or later but it is totally moronic and stupid to say that a mid rd prospect at best is essential to this team and how we can never use a high pick on a Wr without also drafting him. I think there is a good possibility he will not be drafted at all.

Yes Ryan Fitpatrick probably has better skills. Why can't i say that fitzy has proven himself to be a backup caliber nfl QB while Murray might not even be that.

Murray at 11?

Yea, lets take a guy likely to start on the PUP at 11. If he wasn't rehabbing his ACL he would likely had been getting 1st round grades. He is just pissed Murray is a far better prospect than McCarron.

 

You're mistaken. Murray is going no later than the 4th. I sort of doubt he's there when we pick.

Russell Wilson was a mid round prospect. Why? Because he lacked ideal size - just like Murray.

Passing on a guy because he's a few inches shorter than the average QB is absolutely silly, considering we've seen plenty of success from shorter QBs at this point.

To suggest that Murray may not even be a backup and that Fitzpatrick is better is laughable.

I didn't say strong arm... I said good arm. Average arm strength, but above average accuracy, delivery, and mobility.

It's funny that the only bad thing you've really had to say about Murray is his arm strength. Yet Fitzpatrick, who has the weakest arm in the NFL, is a better player. Logical.

 

But McCarron is three inches taller! Therefore he is better!

 

I'm 6'3" myself.

When you say that he can't put it all together, it's just because of injuries. He does have the ability, but I think you can only make the assumptions you made that Locker is not the future after he plays a full 16 game season, or if that does not happen this year then you can say that too.
