It's brilliant. He contradicts himself on CJ. On one hand CJ is SO great we can't lose him, even if we have to pay 8 mil for him. On the other, NO RB is able to make the team and other players better.

I'm here to keep the balance. Too many people here think we have a superbowl contending team. We are far from that. We lost our best corner and our best rb/home run threat.

    Laughable.

Outside of you stating this, I haven't seen hardly anyone claim this.

They think were a playoff team. Which means you are a contender for the superbowl.

Look at it that way, EVERYBODY is a Superbowl contending team.

Yes, I've seen people claim playoff caliber... you stretch it to Superbowl contender.

Lost nothing TBH. Verner made a few splash plays early then looked average the rest of the way. I liked Verner as a player, but he's replaceable.

I do, but Im not going back to rewatch CJ, Ive seen all of our games 2 and 3 times (some games 4), Ive seen enough of CJ.

But yes Urbanlegend is right about him being good the first 2 games, he was, then came the "knee Injury" and there was a noticeable difference the following weeks. Except after the bye and week-17 where he went off (after the "injury")

To state the obvious- no questions that CJ WAS a step and a half better than other RBs. But his production has diminished to the level of a top 10 RB at best. He occasionally breaks one but now more often folds like a lawn chair at or behind the LOS and/or point of contact and frequently loses us yardage because he doesn't run down hill.

Does it mean he's washed up? Of course not- nobody is seriously saying that. It just means his value to us is much less than it used to be and definitely less than $8M /year. He's still a GOOD scatback style RB. Truly worth 3-4M /year IMO. BUT CJ doesn't see it that way. And therein lies the problem with keeping him around.

The separation is on CJ, not us, in this situation.

Verner is more valuable to the Bucs that he is to the Titans. He is a good fit for that cover 2 Lovie Smith runs.
