We made it to the front page of ESPN also... hopefully other teams buy into him getting attention and we get some draft compensation!

Think it was a 6th round pick

He was traded for a 6th. I'm just saying for a "Starting" RB that is generating buzz. I feel safe thinking teams would trade for a 5th or maybe 4th/3rd if a bidding war starts

I would cap your CJ expectations at a 5th.

As bad as Gabbert is, QB is a premium position. The 49ers are also in the bizarre position of having too many draft picks. They won't be able to sign them all, so they haven to trade some.

Zero chance Johnson is traded for a 3rd. That's crazy talk.

You never know. One team gets their heart set on getting him and is scared another team will if they don't pull the trigger, anything could happen. CJ's kind of like Tyson after his prime. Tyson wasn't the fighter he used to be, yet, we all wanted to see him fight because he still had the power to knock any man on earth out cold. CJ still has the speed to take it to the house. In the right situation, CJ can score long TD's on plays that no other RB in the league would score on. Who knows how much another team might value that?

I could see a scenario where the Titans eat some of CJ's salary for a higher draft pick. That might make some teams feel better about taking him and it could get them in the 3rd round to get the QB they may be targeting.

What's the point of talking about extremely unlikely hypothetical scenarios?

Should we have a thread discussing what will happen if Peyton Manning gets eaten by a shark? You never know!

Look at how little interest the free agent RBs are generating. Look at how no RB was taken in the first round last year. It's a devalued position.

Now look at how old CJ is. Look at how bad his film is. Look at his contract.

Zero chance of a third-round pick. ZERO.

Nobody's forcing you to discuss it. If you don't want to, don't.

To be honest, I will happy getting anything for him while cutting the salary...A 5th or 6th still gives them a shot to fill a need or take a chance on someone that may have fallen or could break out. Something is better than nothing, but will a team bit??? Not too positive about it...Guess time will tell.

I have this weird compulsion to try to prevent Titans fans from being complete idiots. I'm trying to work past it.
