The Browns also tried to trade the NFL's leading receiver, and they fired their coach after one season.

    They ain't very smart, dude.

But I assume they cut him for cap reasons. It happens.

He probably heard one of the "experts" on nfl network say that he is not good any more and now he is rolling with it.

Im sorry 75 solo tackles doesn't impress me. Bernard Pollard makes more solo stops than that, and half the board is tired of him. I just dont get the love for Jackson. Ive watched this guy play many times this past season, he never stands out, being exciting about this guy is like celebrating you bought a 1997 Ford Explorer.

I do however appreciate the fact Ruston Webster is doing his due diligence by looking at Jackson, as Ive said all along, he is better than what we currently have, but I doubt Webster jumps on this unless Denver passes on him. it would be an easy signing for anyone since no other FA's can interview til march 11th.

If you are driving a car that always breaks down (McCarthy) or a 1990 Taurus (Fokou) then you sure as hell are celebrating that '97 Explorer.

The only way we wouldn't look at Jackson is if Horton said no way to him. Otherwise it would be mismanagement on webster to not look at a guy that upgrades what I consider our biggest hole on the team.

Fair point. I have no personal issue with Jackson, he's not a bad player, just not somebody I can jump up and down about.

I would have been more worried if Webster didn't bring this guy in for an interview, we don't have to sign him but I am already pleased with the FO doing their due diligence like someone else mentioned. Makes you appreciate these days more instead of the times we were just sitting on our hands for the most part of the off season.

That's no lie. I used to get furious back in the Fisher days when guys like this would be cut and we just wait and sign bottom of the barrel guys instead. Again, not saying that Jackson is the best ILB in the league, but I am saying that he is a productive player with a recognizable name.
