He made general comments based on vague theories that he in no way tried to back up with statistical facts. and could not back up with statistical facts.

The arguments on this board have been all over the map. Got a great QB you don't need elite WRs or you should not bother drafting elite WRs unless you already have that elite QB. But that in no way means you think we should take a QB with that 11th pick. Huh?

We had a poster named Falk list our current WRs on the roster. He lists Mariani as one of them a guy who has absolutely nothing as a WR. A guy with an injury history who is not even under contract with this team. WTF?

Are you kidding? You are worried we will have 3 stud players at a position in which they would all be able to play? Teams use 3 Wrs on the field all the time and having great depth at a position prevents you from over paying a guy when contract time comes up. Wright and Hunter have 4 year contracts and a new guy would likely have the same so you are getting their services for at least 4 years no matter what.

Yes i can read and understand stats. I don't assume things i look them up.

A guy made a comment that implied our QBs were incapable of completing a pass to a WR which was nonsense.

This is a discussion about who we would draft with the 11th pick. You guys can't keep bringing up QB unless you think that is where we should go with that pick.

It's not an either or situation! Drafting a WR with that pick does not hurt our situation at QB!

If you want us to go a different direction than say so and where but stop talking about QB as if it is the other option. Drafting an OLB or a safety with the 11th pick does not help our QB situation either!

Apparently bro....Ridiculousness lol. I could have swore we said that too....and apparently our offense operates no differently than high octane offenses with perennial hall of fame QB's as well....

Another WR would be a future financial fiasco in one area of the team. Each of them would be trying to get paid within one year of each other. Wright has 2? Years left? Hunter will be at three and a rookie will be at 4. Because that's the limit now. 4 years with a 5th year option in the top 10 I believe.

To me, that creates too much of a chunk out of our cap in an area that might not have the QB to do them justice to get us to the bowl.

That's the whole point right? Super Bowl. So good teams need to be able to balance the checkbook with the talent across the team. The longevity of the plan IMO is the greatest concern.

If we had a capable QB, a stacked defense and a good offense with limited pieces that need replacing... Then yes. You swing for the WR that could push us over the hill. Otherwise, this just seems silly to me considering the resources would go to waste with out proper key pieces to use them in the small window you would have them.

WR is one of the few positions I like at 11 for any draft. But unfortunately its too big a luxury for it to be our pick at 11. This team has to start developing our WR's better. If one of these top QB's is there for us we have to take a shot on one, can't keep letting Locker and his backup hold us from ever taking off.

WR is something you add when you have a guy that can get them the ball.

Get ready for the backlash boys....exactly,what myself and others have stated....However, if you don't have a statistics war, your comments will be dismissed lol. How about this for statistics....last 3 years we are sub .500 with 2 new wr's and a TE and a bunch of added pieces. Apparently WR's on teams with a ton of offensive talent and depth are better than KW, and signing good defensive players doesn't help your own offense or QB at all in return.....

""""WR is something you add when you have a guy that can get them the ball.""""

Which WR had trouble getting the ball? Wright who had 94 catches or Washington who had his 2nd best year of his career?

What does that term even mean?

    I thought we were 9-7 in 2011. 9-7 is not sub 500.
