We've provided reasons, you just don't accept them. Someone could give you all the advice in the world and you can choose to not take it but that doesn't mean it wasn't given. You don't want to hear any pro CJ argument and I'm done shouting words at a brick wall. We both have a bias but your bias is so strong you're mind is totally closed to any contrary opinions. Only arguments that can be used to make CJ look bad are acceptable to you. He was a top 3 offensive player on our team last season and we only save 4 mil by cutting him, the fact that you interpret that to mean he's "killing us" is ludicrous.

CJ has most certainly either A) lost a step or B) is not giving 100% effort and attitude and is frustrated being in Tennessee. Either way, neither are good at all. I would accept option A more easily, because that is at least the inevitable. Honestly, he has been really boring to watch IMO. He just runs very vanilla...outside of 2 games this year....

I agree he isn't "killing" us...but he certainly isn't doing anything spectacular. CJ being top 3 on this team is not a hard task, lets be honest. ESPECIALLY with Jake Locker as captain.

Plop those numbers on another team and you get exactly what the numbers state....A RB with numbers outside of the top 10....Like it or not....

I have no agenda, you seem to want to shelter the guy though. You might be the brick wall here buddy, Im ALWAYS open to ANYTHING you or anyone could say to me to convince me he's worth his contract.

All I keep hearing is "we told you we told you" "you dont wanna listen". Well Im sorry but you haven't! Please tell me right now so I can remember it, Ill even print it out to read every day til we do or dont cut him

Believe it or not but I do like CJ. Id just rather see him in a Texan or Colts jersey for the exact reason Terrell Davis talked about. That Ben Tate guy and Donald Brown are hard players to tackle.

Marshall Faulk's entire argument is bogus. Yes we did pay Chris Johnson after his 2000-yard season, thats the entire reason we paid him actually, but dont let facts stop you Marshall Faulk, never has in the past.

Funny haha...He is valid with the durability aspect, as for the pay, I can't help him there..CJ has been overpaid for a while now, with piss poor average to slightly above average production.

Every good back needs a good run blocking line. It's not needing "all the stars to align" it's basic football and common sense. It's a team game. One of the reasons Locker and Fitz struggled was because our O-line played badly this season. Why is it a legitimate argument to use in defense of Locker but not CJ? Superstar or not a good blocking O-line isn't some fancy luxury, it's a need and it only gets downplayed in order to make CJ look bad.

Setting the standard that CJ has to carry the team on his back despite bad blocking is unfair because no other back in the league is held to that standard. According to football focus Chris Johnson ran behind the 22nd best offensive line in the league in 2013. AP ran behind the 6th best. Despite this HUGE discrepancy AP (who IS the best back in the game) only racked up 189 more yards, .5 more YPC, 1 more TD (CJ had 6 rush, 4 rec/AP had 10 rush, 1 rec), and only 1 more game over 90 yards. And before we get into the AP helped his team more crap what exactly did the VIkings achieve in 2013? Despite all of AP's greatness we won 2 more games than they did!.

Why exactly is it that I'm illogical to assume that had CJ been behind an equal line he could have equaled those numbers? C'mon guys. You can scream CJ1Y all day, but these are the facts. Behind a VASTLY inferior offensive line CJ on a down year put up only marginally worse stats than the universally considered best back in the game? And we want to cut him over a measly 4 mil we might not even need? Am I to believe that there is no bias or emotion involved in people calling for his head?

    2008 - underpaid
    2009 - underpaid
    2010 - underpaid
2011 - $30M signing bonus to repay him for the first 3 years, which means we value him at $10M/yr (he's making $8M in 2014)
    2012 - fairly paid going into 2012
    2013 - overpaid
    2014 - ???

For the past 3 years we've been paying him for the first 3 years which is cool, but that doesn't mean we have to keep being robbed for the next 3 seasons.

$8M for what he's doing these days is absolute highway robbery. If he were putting up 100-yards a game, THEN he'd be worth $8M/yr (which are the terms his contract was based on)

Titans made right by reconciling with him in 2011 for 2008-2011, but he should do the right thing now and take a pay cut or GTFO

Lol C'mon. You're smarter than that. Faulk was pointing out that CJ had to holdout to get paid, so he shouldn't volunteer to take a pay cut when the team had to be forced to pay him or have Javon Ringer as their starting RB. You knew that. I still think CJ spent some time in a Bentley with your sister or something.
