The NFL moved the date of this year’s draft back from April to May, but why should that stop the tradition of mock drafts beginning in January?

Here’s a look at a few early – very early – predictions on who the Titans might take with the 11th overall selection:

ESPN’s Mel Kiper rolled out his initial mock today, predicting the Titans will take 6-7, 315-pound Michigan tackle Taylor Lewin, who could serve as a replacement for David Stewart if Tennessee chooses to part ways with him.

Sports Illustrated’s Chris Burke says the Titans will go with an Alabama player in the first round for the second straight year, this time selecting inside linebacker C.J. Mosley. The 6-2, 232-pounder might look especially good if the Titans go to a 3-4 system next season, which would make linebacker depth a high priority.

The Sporting News’ Eric Galko gave Missouri defensive end Kony Ealy to the Titans. The 6-5, 275-pound Ealy is a very athletic edge rusher who picked up a couple of sacks in the Tigers’ Cotton Bowl victory over Oklahoma State.

Dane Brugler of CBSSports.com and NFLDraftScout.com chose Anthony Barr, a 6-4, 248-pound outside linebacker from UCLA. Barr was a playmaking terror for the Bruins, and might offer something the Titans lacked last year.

Rob Rang of CBSSports.com and NFLDraftScout.com went with Alabama’s Mosley, just as SI’s Burke did.

Could have an all UCLA OLB group with Ayers and Barr

I love how no one has the balls to have the Titans picking a QB or trading up for a QB in the 1st round. Easy to give us a LB or lineman like every other mock draft. I wouldnt hate those LBs named but talent can come from LB and even lineman in lower rounds. After all we got Stewart in the middle of the 4th round.

Better not be an OT, we took a guard at ten and it maybe great later, it was not this year. We have to get an impact player at 11. QB, D-lineman prefer pass rusher, or OLB that can rush the passer. If we are cutting CJ, it is early but this team needs an rb

Barr is who I want, but the dude is a beast and I don't see him making it out of the top 10.

Not really concerned about the draft. Titans won too many irrelevant games to get an impact player

What you mean not concerned about the Draft??? Its the CHEAPEST way to improve the team! And its a fair way to get young possible star players unlike FA when you have guys picking the team after they hear all the possible offers. Imagine if FA was like the Draft and because Titans were a losing team, they could have got Peyton two years ago over him choosing the Broncos who had just gone to the Divisional round of playoffs months before.

AND how can you think the Titans cant get an impact player at 11?? We pick the 11th player out of ALL eligible college players. Do I need to show examples of impact players drafted in the past that came after pick 10??

Are there really any RBs worth taking at 11? Remember Whiz doesnt have good luck at drafting RBs high. They all get hurt.

The only way I see us going OLB is if we aren't satisfied with Ayers. I'm still sold on Brown/Gooden as one of our OLBs, but I'm not sold on Ayers yet. We may be playing with two MLBs on the field, so maybe some of our guys can move inside.
