CJ doesn't have Woodhead's physical style of play and Fitzpatrick will never ever be Warner or Rivers lol. I hope we cut Fitzpatrick. He's too expensive as a 3rd Qb and we need to bring someone in who can actually compete with Locker or lead this team if Locker gets hurt. Fitz went like 2-7 as a starter.

For those who say that the Cards had little option but to get Kevin Kolb remember that Alex smith was a full fledged free agent that year and signed by the 49ers for $5M a year on march 21st.

They could have had Smith and not given up a draft pick to get him.Instead they used a 2nd rd pick and Rogers-Cromartie to get Kolb.

Something to think about since a lot of this discussion pertains to what QB the titans are going to get to compliment or replace the guys we have.

Webster is a smart GM. He won't sell the farm to trade for a big ? QB. Only QB I can see Webster trading for would be Roethlisberger if he were to be available, but that is unlikely.

I don't care what anyone says Whis has my respect, he done the almost impossible, and got the arizona cardinals to the super bowl, I mean sure, they didn't win, but damn, how often does that happen?

With Whiz here, I really hope CJ is back. He is known to be able to create an offense to fit his players. If he really can do that, I would like to see what he can do with CJ. We only save 4 million by cutting him and his ceiling is much higher than any mid round running back we could draft. Tommy Smith likes him a lot and with a change in management, maybe CJ sees this as a fresh start and decide to start running hard again. I think its worth the risk.

True but at the time Smith had bust written all over him and Kolb appeared to be ready to take off as a star QB. It is obvious now looking back but at the time it wasn't a horrible price to pay for what could have been a franchise QB.

Seems to be the odds on favorite. Weird hire, but shouldn't matter too much. More curious about the DC job!
