I think the OTs in this draft are severely overrated. After Matthews there is a significant drop off.

Yeah, I'm against the OT pick this year. First of all, we don't really need a LT that bad. Roos still has some game left. He didn't look that bad unless he was playing against elite D-ends. RT is what we need. BADLY. But do you honestly spend a 1st or 2nd round pick on a RIGHT TACKLE? Also, if you look at free agency, there are so many guys laying around that can be had for a decent price. I'm all for picking up a RT like Oher or Strief and just giving that a shot.

We can then draft a monster defensive playmaker and/or a stud QB in the 1st/2nd rounds. This would be the more fiscally sound plan than spending 15 million on Greg Hardy or Brian Orakpo and then drafting a RT.

There's honestly too many bad things to say about him for me to even want to get started lol.

I watched a lot of LSU games.

I wouldn't be opposed to drafting a guy at 11 and play him at RT for a year then move him to LT, but I just don't see any of the "top" guys being able to play LT. It's Matthews or no one.

Greg Robinson is an absolute monster in the running game. Sometimes it looks like he's pushing the blocking sled instead of a human being, but he's a waist bender instead of a knee bender and he lunges at guys in pass protection. He's also in an offense that doesn't ask him to kick step and pass block normally. It's 71% run and then probably another 15% play action. I've watched three of his games focusing directly on him and he's kick stepped maybe ten times, and it doesn't look good.

    So....

Technique? Decision issues? Pocket awareness? Accuracy?

I don't have a complete decision on the guy at the moment but I'm curious what you've seen before I delve in deep on the guy.

But I bet there will be a team that wants to take one at 11

Its hard to explain. On paper he doesn't look bad, but in reality he just doesn't have what it takes. Idk how many times I've seen him blow it on 3rd down or when the game is on the line. He also got bailed out by the best 2 wrs in the SEC more times than I can count.

But yeah I'd say he's just an average qb with great size, but he doesn't have IT. He folds in pressure situations, and he looks like he doesn't command an ounce of respect. The fact that their backup qb came in and looked just as good as him doesn't help him.

Yeah, I have to agree with J Falk. What has Mettenberger ever actually done? He has two NFL WRs on the outside and a hell of a power running game. When the game is on the line he hasn't delivered yet. You also need a great offensive line to keep him upright.

He just looks like a less talented Ryan Mallett to me.
