Yea, besides Newton, all the 1st round QBs in 2011 were busts. Very similar to the 2006 QB class. VY, Leinart, and even Culter (since he can't go without getting hurt). Why isn't Titans seem to draft QBs in bust years??? Can you name ANY QB from '06 in ANY round that was a true success??? I guess Culter is it from a winning games stand point. But look at Culter's career, he always lets his team down either end of the season for in the playoffs. Not someone I want as my franchise QB

I'm not passionate about him, but he seems the best of an unspectacular bunch...

(below is a cut and paste from FSU's site)

    Coaching Accomplishments
    • Has 18 years of coaching experience, including 10 seasons in the NFL and eight as an NFL defensive line coach.
    • In 2011, led a Gator defense that ranked eighth nationally in total defense (299.5 yards per game), seventh in passing defense (166.8 yards per game) and second in third-down defense (27.12 percent).
    • Prior to his first season in Gainesville, Quinn spent the 2009 and 2010 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks as defensive line coach and has spent eight NFL seasons as a defensive line coach, including stints with the New York Jets (2007-08), Miami Dolphins (2005-06) and San Francisco 49ers (2003-04). He began his NFL career as a defensive quality control coach for the 49ers from 2001-02 before being promoted to defensive line coach.
    • Helped four different players reach double-digits in sacks in a single season.
    • Seven of his 10 seasons in the NFL saw opponents average less than one rushing touchdown per game, including three seasons of 10 or less total.
    • In 2010, the Seattle Seahawks finished third in the NFC in red zone touchdown defense, allowing just 46.2 percent.
    • Coached Chris Clemons to a career-high 11 sacks in 2010 in Clemons’ first season as a full-time starter, including four multi-sack games, while Raheem Brock tallied nine sacks.
    • Helped the Seahawks to the 2010 NFC West crown and knocked off the defending Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints in the opening round of the playoffs.
    • Quinn’s 2008 Jets defense ranked fifth in the NFL in yards per carry (3.7), seventh in sacks (41) and ninth in rushing yards per game (94.9). The Jets were also sixth in the AFC in yards per play (5.2) and third-down efficiency (.386).

    • Quinn began his coaching career as defensive line coach with William & Mary in 1994, followed by a season with the Virginia Military Institute in 1995. He held the same position with Hofstra for four seasons before being promoted to defensive coordinator in 2000.

Whisenhunt makes me barf. Pls no.

Gruden would be alright, he'll be a head coach somewhere.

Mark Zimmer would be my second choice. solid all around.

    Caldwell.. :puke:

Quinn... pass. He's a Gus Bradly.

Bevell: He would be my first choice. We have always been a solid QB away from being a playoff team, and he would make sure we solidify that position by drafting the right one, or grooming Locker.

    Bisaccia: Who?

Franklin: Absolutely not. He rebuilt Vandy into a 6-6 team while the SEC is the worst it's been in 7 years? Wow. Such good. He's a scumbag, taking shots and trash talking other teams while they are down, then beating them by one or two points when both teams play pretty badly. He's good with the media, and good at making horrible players play with proper fundamentals, and nothing else. There are a lot of UT fans who are also Titan fans, and UT fans HATE Franklin. They would be crazy to hire this punk.

Will also be nice not having an owner telling the HC who to draft at QB!! VY set us back years. Still wish we had drafted Aaron Rodgers over Pacman the year before. If you look at the '06 draft, there were lots of talented players in other positions. AJ Hawk, Vernon Davis, D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Tamba Hali, Haloti Ngata, Antonio Cromartie, etc ALL Pro Bowl veteran players STILL in the NFL now that Titans weren't able to even consider because we got VY. Titans would have ended up VERY different if not for Bud (RIP) forcing Fisher's hand. I blame Fisher for not taking Rodgers though.

Learn more Bisaccia. Not my first, but probably 4-5. ST coaches have worked. See J Harbough, McCarthy, and Belliceck. Everyone seems to love him and I think there is some positive in learning to deal with al types of players. Wouldn't mind him at all if we missed on zimmer, wisenhunt, or bevell.

Is Caldwell the only "minority" coach on there? He might be needed to fullfill the "rooney rule"

such a horrible rule. It is degrading for the black coaches, knowing they have slim to no chance of getting the job they are interviewed for, and that the only reason they are interviewed is because they are black.

But Caldwell may be dumb enough to not even notice.

I thought the 'Rooney Rule' was a minority rule, which would include more races than just black. Doesn't that mean teams could interview someone like Jon Chang or Juan Pablo Martinez?
