I will be the first to admit, if CJ stays, I'm excited to see what he will do next year with new coaching.

With the right coaching C.J. could still be a dangerous weapon on offense. Now as far as him being an every down back i think thats history we need to get a physical hard pounding back that will fight and get four or five good yards a carry.

I know it's been about 75-25 split with most wanting cj gone, but we all have to admit, depending on who the coach is and seeing the positive ways people have used Charles and McCoy, to have someone who can do that is pretty exciting.

The problem is, CJ needs to be the lesser part of a two back system. He is the change of pace, not the bread and butter.

But you don't pay the change of pace eight mil.

I don't think CJ is anywhere close to being as good as those guys are right now. Idk what happened, but I just don't see CJ as a real weapon anymore. Most of the time it doesn't even look like he's trying.

In 2014 if you are the guy in a one back unit you f'n better well get 1000 yds.
I'm sure CJ leads the league in junk yards and crappiest ypc % of backs subtracting runs of 25 or longer for the last 3 years. He cannot keep a drive alive. That alone equals losses and not wins in this league..

The more i think about it i think we just need to cut C.J. loose especially with the 8 million cap hit because he isn't nowhere near worth that.We need a more physical back anyway a Frank Gore/Marshawn Lynch type that will get those critical yards when you need them.Time to move on

1400 overall yards and 10 TDs... anyone else on the Titans get anywhere close to that? Yes, CJ hasn't looked great the last few years..but has anyone on this team?! Should they cut them all and start from scratch? If any ol running back can have the same production as Johnson, why was he the 6th RB in history to rush for 1k in the first 6 years of their career? Get someone in in there to use him right and some decent play around him and production will increase. Yes, his salary is high, but you got to pay someone to produce...and like it or not he is the best offensive weapon the Titans have. (If used correctly)
