I don't buy that the FO wanted Loggains fired because we passed too much. We ran the ball 462 times and passed 533 times, that's close to a 50-50 split. I think the problem was we WANTED to be a run-first team and brought in players for that purpose and completely stunk at it.

Aside from Loggains terrible tendencies in the playcalling, I think the failure to turn the acquisitions into the promised dominant run game was the trigger. We spent a lot of money on TE, OL and RB and got no return on the investment in the run game.

As Webster said in his presser, he wants a coach who has a system that can take advantage of the players we have on the roster. I don't think that means it has to be an old school running style offence.

 

Release the Munchak wager funds,as decision is now official...
