I see waiting until a coach is hired, assistants are hired, and then seeing what happens next. You guys are all heated up over a QB, when you have no clue what is going to happen.

I think a new coach may embrace Locker. He's a hard worker, good athlete, great character and has shown some potential. It would make a new coach look great if he could crack the code to Jake's potential. With that being said, still draft a qb second round, this is a two qb league now kinda.

Locker is too cheap with too much potential to release. He'll be given a shot though a new coach is more likely to push to draft a QB early or find a way to bring in his own guy.

Locker is basically going to be entering a one-year deal coming off a major injury and having to learn a new system. He may not be healthy enough in do much until training camp begins.

Of course we know Locker doesn't affect our cap very much with his contract and we won't have to break the bank having him back in 2014 but i'm wondering is there a chance a new coach might cut Locker and draft his own QB and bring a veteran in in free agency????

The thing that scares me with that is it will scare away potential suitors...

If the candidates are all told.. "We will not draft you a QB this season, you are stuck with the Always Hurt locker"... I fear we will end up with a bum that bites because he wants a job more so than he believes he can make it work... While the top end candidates will balk and work somewhere else.

He won't get cut. Zero chance.

Exactly. Which is why Webster won't be forcing Locker down any HC's throat.

I think we should keep locker around, but only as a back up, or until he can drink enough milk to get his bones right so they won't break if he falls over.

I think he rides the bench depending on who we snag. Big benny here is buttmunch is GONE! The FA market for us just got better. Better players will look at tn in a different light now, depending on who new coach is. I hope we get an aggressive coach.
