I want Aaron Murray in the 2nd or a third we trade down for.

    My optimal scenario would be...

Trade down into the late first (contender moving up for a receiver perhaps?) and take a stud MLB or OT
Take whichever we didn't take in the first in the second
    Murray in the third
RB in the fourth to replace CJ

Our best bet is to try and trade up to make an attempt at Clowney (keyword "attempt").

Another option is trade up to select Khalil Mack (complete outside linebacker - coverage, pass rush, TFL's, solid open field tackler, etc. ...). I don't think we will do these things, but this is the year to do it, especially if your job is on the line (again). Otherwise select to the strength of the draft, which will be OT.

I think CJ Mosely will be a very solid linebacker for some team, but it should not be us. He has a nice skillset (coverage, solid open field tackler) but I don't believe he will become the impact defender that this defense needs.

As stated earlier, you can forget QB if Munchak returns.

My catch everybody off guard pick (Trade down and pickup a 3rd pick):
    Austin Seferian-Jenkins (TE - Washington)

6"6 268 lbs (Excellent receiver, Size, Smooth route runner, EXCELLENT INLINE BLOCKER) a complete tight-end

Trade back and take a Pass Rush (Barr?) and gain a 3rd
Take QB in the 2nd (McCarron?)
    Grab a RT/RB in the 3rd
Take what we didn't take in the 3rd, in the 4th (Rb or RT)

I feel like that would help us especially if we resign Pollard and Verner

there would be no need to trade up to get mack, for one he is an olb that's not our biggest need in the lb corps and secondly we are already short picks so trading up is out of the question unless we want to end up with no picks in future drafts

Most mocks (even though preliminary) have him going to Buffalo at 9. My reasoning for attempting to trade up. Moving up 2 slots won't relinquish us of multiple picks.

I tend to disagree with the statement that Outside linebacker is not a need. Akeem Ayers has not displayed the talents that he was suppose to possess (poor tackler, below average in coverage and he cannot consistently generate a pass rush when coming off the edge).

These are traits that I feel Khalil Mack possesses:
Mack (6-foot-3, 248 pounds) set an NCAA career record with 16 forced fumbles and is tied for first in NCAA history with 75 tackles for loss.

Once Clowney is gone, there really isn't another DE that warrants a first round grade.
I believe Mack can provide us with the pressure that we are missing off the edge.

we already don't have a third round pick so what would you think we would have to give up to move up 2 spots in the first round? Anthony barr is a 1st round grade de/olb the same with vic Beasley....we have a bigger need at mlb than olb is what im getting at though. we just drafted gooden last year so we don't know what we have with in him but there is more options at olb later in the draft than their is mlb I feel plus we have more needs than draft picks already so getting rid of yet another pick to trade up 2 places for one person is silly to me...if we could trade a player and our first possibly then I would be interested but I doubt that will happen

Carolina needs a WR to really shore up that offense. So maybe they would look to trade up for Sammy Watkins or maybe Evans

With all the questions circulating among fans and the media regarding Chris Johnson and Jake Locker, and an aging duo at the offensive tackle position, as well as a lack of "big play" defensive end....a very, very important decision to make at the #11th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

We should draft some fans, or a new mascot.
