Chances are that if Munch didn't make the playoffs under that regime, then his contract isn't renewed.. That would mean a whole new coach and his own coaching staff, therefore would leave Turner and Williams searching for a new job.

Sorry, I went by what someone said before that if we had one more win we would have been the other wildcard. Even still we should have won a few more games with Fitz. I expect we would have at least 10 wins if Locker played the whole season. But thanks for the correction:)

But in the meantime I bet that Turner would be better for us next season than Loggains. And Williams better than Gray.

why would Norv Turner or even Williams want to coach under a lame duck coach?

Bud spent 100 million in free agency, and look what they got out of all the talent.

QB aside, they really weren't a very good team this year.

IMHO they need a new coach, but I think it's likely they won't make a change which is the status quo in Tennessee.

Yeah, but would Turner want to come here knowing that his boss (Munchak) only has one year on his contract? There are better options out there for Norv than working for a Monster with 1 year left on his contract.

Plus, I feel Munch will fear a superior coordinator, because he will have to look over his back in fear of losing his HC job.

Because unless you're bringing in someone who we KNOW is better, 2/3 of the possible results are NOT better...hence, change for the sake of chance...not improvement.

It's fine to be disapoointed with the results and to want a better result, but you have to be careful in how you get there. Most organizations that don't win...don't win because they go with unproven coaches and when that doesn't work out for a few years, they get another one and wonder why they never win. This is change for the sake of change.

So if you want Munch fired, I understand your reasoning, but some people become so blind with wanting him to leave they replace him with someone only as good or worse!!! That will only set us back for YEARS!!!

If we are to take the next step with Munchak, we need some improvements to the staff...proven improvement. If we are to improve with a new staff entirely, we also need proven improvements!

Williams will take what he can get. Turner probably wouldn't mind getting out of Cleveland.

But, aside from rare exceptions, you pretty much never KNOW someone is going to be better. It's not like Bill Belichick is available. So if every team went by that logic then head coaches would rarely ever be fired and coordinators and college coaches would never get head coaching opportunities. Like I said, sometimes you have to take risks in order to be successful.

I just can't wrap my head around that kind of logic but I can tell neither of us are going to change the others mind. So agree to disagree I guess.

So what some people are saying on here...Is that every team that offed coaches last year absolutely "KNEW" that the new coaching would be better than the previous?! Come on man...It's called "TAKING A CHANCE". It is not about who is so called better....It's about the fact that for 3 years, it has been getting worse, and what do you have to lose! Sometimes change refreshes and energizes teams. I say again...Take a look at San Diego and Philly....1st year coaches, outshining Munch, with just as many obstacles and bs issues. How many strikes do you give a guy.
