    That is untrue.

His rookie year he mostly rode the pine.. not his fault.

He was underwhelming when he was given a chance last season.. then he got hurt.

He was putting together a decent few game stretch this season, then got hurt.

He had a 3 game stretch where he performed pretty well. Averaged 2 TDs per game, zero INTs. Then got hurt.

Came back from injury against the 9ers, where he performed OK, but we got blown out.. 2TD 1 INT, 326 yards.

Then sucked MIGHTILY in his final two games before being put out for the season.

I don't think he has ever proven to be worthy of his draft status.. at any point in his career. he gave a glimpse that he may be an OK starting QB for a very short window.. and that went away pretty quickly.

    Season Avg:

    179 YPG
    1.14 TD Per Game
    .57 INTs per game.

Does that scream HE SUCKS?? definitely not.

Does that scream that this is a guy that you want helming your franchise as an unquestioned starter? Those are good numbers for a backup.. which is where he belongs.

Cannot stay healthy, plus consistently OK but not thrilling numbers, screams "good backup QB" to me.

No QB in the world could have played well here in 2012, that O-Line was the biggest disgrace Ive ever seen in my life. High schools block better than that 2012 bunch.

but was it our crap OL that got him hurt? nope.. it was his bad accuracy, and his freewheeling spirit which led him to make that fateful tackle that day.

I am still hoping Locker is able to kick the injury bug. Like Matt Stafford did. And be the starter next year.

You stand behind that 2012 line and lets see if your head is in the right place. You'll crap your pants, take a huge hit and possible never get up. That line was so bad it even messed with Bironas' foot. That line was so bad even Vince Young would watch from Texas and feel sick.

Can only assume that the guy that was responsible for analyzing the college players - and for reporting his findings to the GM - was on board with Locker.

Don't want to rehash the Locker draft debate... I've had that plenty of times on here... but can bring up his time at Washington if prompted.

Don't think his 2013 was great, but it wasn't piss poor either. You had the good (vs Jets) and the bad (vs StL). Thought his game against the 49ers was actually poor - he did nothing for three quarters and the 49ers put up a 24-3 lead with 7 minutes left in the 4th. Then he put up 2 TDs on their soft coverage in the 4th quarter (CJ really responsible for the first TD that game). But it's telling that the Titans are likely considering a QB in the 2014 draft.

I would do it for his salary. I'd take the few million or so, and go on a nice vacation, and take a decade or so off of work. In fact, I just might retire at 28. because he made appx 100x what I made last year.

If he's still on the roster next year, he will make 133 times the money I made last year, in 16 games of football.

I could work the rest of my life, and likely not make as much as he did in 2012. So yes. Sign me up for 10-30 sacks per year. I would spit the dirt out of my mouth, and smile.

Just the thought of this impossible scenario gives me the warm n' fuzzies.

Mr. Smith knows how to remedy this. Whether he will or not is the big question.

his freewheeling spirit as nickmsmith said above is what caused him and will continue to cause him to get hurt. He does not protect himself and he put himself in harms way to make a tackle. Manning falls down before he gets sacked which is smart, live to play another down. If you are the QB, you need to play smart which is what I question Locker on as well as his accuracy from the pocket.
