I meant as an overall "period", not just an individual season. We did have those two years where we went 5-11/4-12 back-to-back but we also went to the playoffs two consecutive years just before that.

I've been a fan since day one and these last 5 years have hands down been the least enjoyable to me. YMMV.

'95 to '98 was pretty rough. If you think the team gets very little media attention now you should have seen it back then. This would be a typical Sunday back then on NFL Countdown from Chris Berman:

"Today the Bengals and the Oilers play. Since these teams have about three fans between them I am only going to talk about this game for 30 seconds. We pretty much have to talk about every game. But we are not going to do any stories on them or show any video."

Yeah I wasn't a Houston Oiler fan so I can speak to those days. I know it was rough though. But IMO we're without a doubt in the darkest period of Tennessee Titan football.

Agreed. I didn't mean to imply otherwise. But we don't know what is in the head of TS.

He may feel a healthy Locker and Green would have given Munch & Co. the tools to make the playoffs. He might think Munch is getting a lot of effort out of a team with some major holes and that upgrading a few positions is all that is needed.

Or he might blow it all up which I am inclined to believe he'll do. He and Webster will start over.

you don't have the blow up the team and start completely over. QB's these days come in to the league almost ready to play. The past few years have proved to me that this is true and this is a passing league, if we can get a good pocket passer we can really make strides in progressing to become a playoff team. It is a passing league today anyways so we need to take advantage of that.

Good pocket passers are rare. Very rare. At least what I call good. Good enough to take a team on their shoulders and maybe an average team a contender. Maybe there is handful in the entire NFL?

idk man, I mean the league with the rules today you can't build a team around defense anymore. Matt Ryan, Ryan Tannenhill, Andrew Luck, Manning Bros, Brady, Palmer, Flaaco, Dalton, Romo, Rodgers, Stafford, Rivers. I mean some of these guys can scramble but they are decent from within the pocket. There are a few here that can scramble and well for that matter but most are pocket passers with the ability to take their team to the playoffs. Now I am not saying they will, I am just saying they can. Do you see Locker ever becoming one of these qb's? I do not, i think it is simply time to move in another direction IMHO. I also trust webster already has an idea of what he wants to do now with Bud there (RIP).

Agreed what's more looking at the current crop of young talent everyone likes mobility. I would take a pocket passer any day of the week in fairness.
