Munchak News/Pollard may not be back next year

It doesn't even matter if he sucks. We need his attitude. He's the closest thing we have to a leader on this team.

A lot of people have been on him for penalties... I've only seen a couple that could be considered dumb. At least 50% of the time he gets flagged it's just the refs having gaping vaginas.

 

Pollard doesn't suck. Not even close.

He's not the best in coverage... hardly means he sucks.

That's like saying Mathis sucks because he's a liability vs the run.


All players have their strengths and weaknesses- and I think Pollard's strengths outweigh his weaknesses.... easily.

 

Pollard has been great. He's leader with a great attitude. He's the best thing that's ever happened to Griffin.​

 

We don't need any more running QB's! We just need a QB that has some mobility to leave the pocket if under pressure. I'm ready to have one of those "prototypical" QB's.

 

Jameis Winston is a prototypical pocket QB who happens to have some running ability, very similar to Terry Bridgewater. His touch/accuracy and ability to find the open man is far and away the best I've seen on any QB as young as he is. As far as Pollard goes, if you think he sucks you either don't know football and don't understand the position. He's not some perennial all-pro but he sure as hell doesn't suck and for a guy who's strength isn't coverage he's had a good amount of picks and passes defended.

Jameis isn't a running QB he stays in the pocket and throws TDs and can run if he wants.

Maybe you should open your f&@$ing eyes before spitting that nonsense on the board.

 

He's a fake leader. He talks about being accountable and stopping the run then goes out gets half a dozen 15-yard penalties throughout the year and doesn't help improve the run defense one damn bit.

The only penalty against Pollard that was a bad call was the PF against the Broncos. He clearly hit Decker in the shoulder. Other than that, I mean, the late on Henne when he slid? That's not aggressive, it's ****ing stupid and extended a drive that resulted in a TD. We lost that game by two points.

The only good thing he does is allow Griffin to play 25 yards off the ball. Great. Awesome player.

People like him because he talks a big game, but I have news for you, he doesn't back it up. Doesn't come close.
