Tommy Smith torn on Munchak

Welp, sounds like Tommy Smith sucks...

When's he due to die?

 

No **** man! If MM isn't fired by tomorrow night, I'm going to build an alter and start a fire so damn big Tommy Smith will see it from Houston (figuratively)!

 

Start cutting that wood!!!

 

You mean other than waste 3 years and possibly set us back the same? ..not sure what positives you could possibly find.

I think I interpret Smith's statement a lot differently than everyone else seems to. It sounds to me like he put this statement out there to quiet the reports that Munchak being fired is a given. To me, it sounds like Smith is leaning more toward bringing Munch back.

He mentions that Bud was the type of guy to just fire someone at the drop of a hat and then says that he isn't like Bud in that sense. Which again means to me that he isn't just gonna fire Munch because we've underperformed. It sounds more like savvy PR spin to calm the fanbase down by showing that he does care about us.

The only way I see Munchak being fired after the season is if we lose out and the team quits on him. And I don't see that happening.

 

I thought this too, but think about it, he said he knows fans are upset with the franchise. That is a dead give away he will fire him at the end of the season. Sure everyone pays attention to what people think of us or our product, but you never bring it up unless your going to do something about it.
