I'm not really sure I see any value in discussing "what would the Titans have traded Trent Richardson for?" hypotheticals. That's like 6 levels removed from reality.

Well you were discrediting their FO for making a good trade.. when history has shown that they made a better trade than we would have pulled off.

No let's do give them credit. It was Holmgren who was Weeden-Richardson combo wasn't it?

Anyway- it may not be ALL poor drafting. I strongly suspect a lot has to do with player development. And that falls directly on coaching. I'm very concerned that we're watching Warmack waste away with some natural talent because Matthews SUCKS as a OL coach.

You do realize that was a completely different FO, right?

This current FO is trying to correct those mistakes and move the team in the right direction, and they've done a great job of that so far.

Of course I do. Did I say otherwise?

All I said was I'm not ready to celebrate the Cleveland Browns franchise for some incredible trade. They are going to miss the playoffs yet again. They could blow the draft pick they traded Richardson for.

You're just being contrary. It's ridiculous not give the Browns FO credit for a savvy trade. They essentially re-couped a 1st round pick (albeit later than the original) for a bust RB pick. That is an amazing business decision.

Nobody is crowning the Browns in any other way. Simply ackknowleding an excellent FO move. Let's give credit where its due.

Dumbest move. I don't even think A is worth a first rounder these days.

I'm more than willing to eat my words, but with his age I believe he's on borrowed time after that injury and his career is on a downward slope.

I don't agree that it's purposely contrarian to refuse to champion trades for draft picks until down the road, when I see what a team does with the draft picks, but whatever. Go Browns.

ridiculous rationalization. dumping an underproducing RB and re-couping a 1st round pick is a really smart move. What they do with the pick is irrelevant to the concept that is was an excellent move to have another attempt to improve the quality their franchise. Thus far Trent hasn't done chit with the Colts. How much time do you need?

And I didn't realize you were a Browns fan.

Cutting a loss and coming back with a much smaller loss is a win.
