That's about as good as it gets. I hope it unfolds like this.

I am still pulling for Jake. He is gonna be on the roster next season. I agree that he has gotta find a way to stay healthy. His contract situation is a win for everyone in my opinion. Jake gets one more chance to show that he can stay healthy and lead this team. If he does, Titans have a decision to make. If some how he goes down in week 6 for a long haul, or just fails miserably (which I don't think he will talent wise), then you look to the next option, which you may have already drafted in April round 2-4. Jake comes cheap next season, no reason this would be his last with the Titans.

After looking at your avatar, I'm really confused in what you're saying.

Its a "what have you done for me lately?" league. I like Jake a lot and still have a part of me that says he comes back next year and truly shines. We'll just have to wait and see what unfolds.

That said, I don't see see any reason he wouldn't be on the roster here next year, and I seriously doubt we take a QB really high in the draft unless a player they absolutely love is available to us. One thing is for sure, we have to have a plan B next year, be it a developing rookie or a journeyman vet that doesn't turn the ball over every time the game is on the line.

the last few years there have been good qb's in the first round, just like in 2004 when eli and rivers got drafted. Some years have good classes and some not, qb's are a crap shoot. I don't follow college much but I know there was criticism on locker being drafted too high at number 8 overall
