If the Titans are looking to build on their newfound rushing success of last week, the numbers say they couldn’t have asked for a better opponent than Jacksonville.

The Jaguars enter Sunday’s game ranked dead last against the run, allowing an average of 162 rushing yards per contest.

Jacksonville has twice this season – against San Francisco and against Oakland – surrendered over 200 rushing yards, and the Jaguars have allowed five opponents to go over 150 rushing yards. In Jacksonville’s last game, a 42-10 loss to the 49ers, the Jaguars gave up 84 rushing yards to Kendall Hunter, 71 to Frank Gore and 54 to Colin Kaepernick.

“After each game we come in, and it’s like if you take out this run here where they went for 34 yards — which actually was a missed tackle at six or seven or eight yards – and then the next run they went for 52 yards, when he was touched first after like eight or nine yards,” said Jaguars defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks, a former Titan. “So there’s two or three runs that could have been stopped but we missed a tackle or a fit, and those three runs are really what boosts up the yards per run against us. We got to cut those out.”

The Titans ran for a season-high 198 yards last week, with Chris Johnson picking up a season-best 150 yards.

We'll probably gain below 50 yards on the ground. It's a clear trap game, everybody's talking about the superior of the Titans in this game.

There are literally 20 guys on the Jags' roster that won't be in the NFL next year. This game shouldn't even be competitive.
