We've had arguably the hardest schedule thus far. After revamping the OLine, has it been a bust so far?

Well, Schwenke has only played one or two games. So... it's too early to say if the changes have had any effect.

But the OL started horribly and are still playing horribly.

The scary thing is this offensive line was supposed to be one of the best in the league after the team invested high draft picks and major free agent dollars into it.The strength of the line was supposed to enable the run game to be efficient and afford Jake Locker great protection and plenty of time to throw. All of this was guaranteed to make us stronger and help us win games but at this point i'd say the line overall has been a huge letdown.Jake Locker ends up getting hurt because of poor protection from the line and our running backs have not been able to do anything much so far through half the season.

If the line doesn't improve the second half of this season this team will not achieve its goal of making the postseason. However with the addition of Schwenke in place of the awful Turner things could get better not to mention the schedule gets much easier so things do look better going forward. Its all on the offensive line now to show they can play better now that one of the weak links has been replaced and the hard defenses they faced are in the rear view.

The line has been pitifully bad in every game save for San Fran. the thing that scares is that if things don't improve dramatically we might have to continue to address the offensive line in the draft/free agency. My personal desire to draft Warmack or Cooper was to solidify the interior line and then be able to focus our energies on a difference making DE, LB, or DB. Either way we'll be picking up an OT cause Stewart looks to be done.

I remember several people saying this and I have to be missing something

Houston's Oline ranking the first year BM was with them was 16th, his second year, before leaving for us in 2011, they were ranked 4th

    http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol2010

Pro football foucus had him at 13th in 2009, and 2nd in 2010.

Not saying these sites are the end all, but it also seems that BM was also just an offensive assistant, not the offensive line coach.

Basically, I have seen several people on this and other sites say "look how much better the offensive line got when BM left Houston". Im curious, for what reason are you/they saying that?
