Munch would be fired and rightfully so.

It's rare I think a game is a make or break for a coach, but I stick by "playoffs or bust" in year 3. Don't see how we can lose this and win enough to make playoffs, plus the outright embarrassment of losing to Fisher's Rams would easily be enough to can Munch.

But that isn't going to happen since we are going to win by multiple TDs. This might even be the 100 yard game TWW2 has been whining about.

Lol... You edited your post to make me look stupid. Clearly says "McCourty on Fisher" at the top now, but when I read it there was nothing there.

Interesting though. You cannot be a coach and just sit back and expect players to know what to do. That's ridiculous. That can work with veterans (sometimes), but that's about it. No wonder all our draft picks were busts. Fisher didn't coach them.

I also read that Fisher's last few seasons here he didn't even bother to watch film.I think after that 13-3 season in 2008 he was burned out and just wasn't into it anymore.

In watching the game last night I saw the Bengals commit a potential mistake I hope the Titans don't make against the Rams. Make the game about their young QB. The Rams D with Quinn and Long rushing, Jenkins and Finnegan at corner, does pose the potential to cause some problems for a young QB. I've been very happy with Locker's play, and the passing game is always seductive, but part of the reason for Locker's success is the way the Titans have used him.

Other than perhaps the opening drive, I'd hope the Titans come out running the ball. Even if the Titans are less than successful in their attempts to ground and pound, it's not like the Kellen Clemons led Rams are going to run and hide on the scoreboard (unless they're fed some Titans turnovers). If going into the fourth quarter the Titans are down 14 - 3, I'd feel pretty confident that if unleashed, Locker could bring the team back. It's not that I don't like Locker (I feel quite positive about him in fact), but I'm aware that he's a young player and even great young players can struggle with gaining consistency. I'm sure we will see him have his bad games... like Dalton did last night. I'd rather the Titans somewhat keep the reins on Locker, pound the ball, and have him push that envelope with his play, rather this than putting things on him and have things implode when he has his invariable young QB bad game. In addition, a continuing commitment to the running game will both serve the team well in the long term (no one would argue that the ability to run the ball offers a team a huge advantage) and in the short term it will help the team's o-line gain cohesion and an identity as a unit (which I think it's still lacking).

It's not that I don't think Locker has the real potential to go out and light the Rams up, I have a hard time envisioning the Titans team I've seen this year losing to that QB under any circumstances honestly. I just see the most likely scenario for the Titans to lose to the Clemons led team is via a Locker bad game.

In the end, this team needs wins... they can't really afford a developmental loss.
