It was a fluke and bad luck that mccourty's leg hit the ball on that punt. How do we know he wasn't shouting for him to move? Did we have a mic on him?
Reynaud does not muff kicks or fumble from what I can remember. I think thats pretty special considering we had Mouton at one point. Yes he made a pretty bad mistake on that safety.

He has extremely comparable stats vs mariani ( who this board thinks is a golden god). I can't find a stat for muffed punts or fumbles though.

It's pretty clear that Reynaud has no feel for fielding punts or when to do so.

That punt against the Seahawks for example. He lets it bounce at the 20 and gives the gunners a chance to down it at the one. Lucky for him the guy's foot was in the goal line.

He fields the ball inside the 8 regularly. He brings the ball out when he's 8 yards in the endzone and almost never gets past the 20. Everything he does is wrong. It's like he breaks all of the rules of returning every game and suffers no consequences.

    What are you talking about?

Oh... you're confusing Damian Williams with Jason McCourty for some odd reason.

PS Mariani didn't make bad decisions... ever.

that one that bounced at the 20 was a line drive right next to the sideline, no way he could get there. Usually those go out of bounds, or go in the endzone, like it did.

The other was a bomb and perfectly placed, he could of either saved is from being pinned back further or been a touchback, who knows, I wouldn't say its a horrible decision.

Anything that "isn't a horrible decision" by Reynaud is an improvement.

Forcing the other team to punt shouldn't be a ****ing adventure every week.

No. Once Mariani is back, DRey can hit the road.

When is our Mariani bro coming back anyway? I haven't heard a thing about him all year.

I asked him on twitter 2 weeks ago and usually he responds to me within that day, but him not getting back to me makes me think hes done til 2014

he's great with fan interactions, so its odd he wouldn't tweet me back if he was making a come back

I read the title and thought he got suspended 4 games for violating the leagues policy on substance abuse and taking the decision out of a head coach's hands who may or may not be actually watching the games.

I think Rey has done a pathetic job this year. Trucking the kicker was nice.

I really wonder whether the kicker truely passed the concussion protocol to re-enter the game in the 2nd half. I have no idea how the protocol works or whether an independent person administers the test, but after the botched FG I'm sure that Pete Carroll made sure that he was ready for the 2nd half.
