There is additional concern with having a team in London. Taxes in the UK, like most large Western European countries, are very high. Much more so than in North America. Furthermore there are calls in the UK for them to adopt a "Wealth tax" to punish the "Wealthy" for being wealthy. The calls have come after the new socialist government in France raised taxes to 75% on all making over 1 million Euros. Also the cost of living in London is very high.

Cannot see too many NFL players wanting to play in London given the cost.

I was in London for about two weeks three years ago. Had a Titans hat on many times, nobody knew who they were. Lots of questions about what the hat meant.

Told them they are a NFL team, "Like the Giants, Patriots, Steelers?"

"Yes, except better you stupid Brit"

Players that are drafted over there if there is a team would take less money to play in the states imo unless they are highly compensated for being in london. I also agree with you when it comes to NFL players not wanting to play in london. I can see free agency being terrible for a london franchise. A lot of NFL players are against this as am I

Well for instance instead of one town putting money towards a game we have an entire country. That alone should make up for the difference. The NFL is an American sport that hires American Athletes who live in America and buy American things in their American towns.

It trickles down. More money for the NFL and owners, especially after that large lawsuit, means more money in pockets of Americans. Less money means greatly raising ticket prices, merchandise, ect. It's supply and demand basics.

Clearly the NFL is seeing more revenue by going to another country rather than creating an expansion team. It's a business and this is their model. We should all want the NFL to continue to succeed.

Like I said, it does suck for those fans that miss out on a home game. The right thing for the NFL/owners to do would be to balance their season tickets based off that.

But let's also not forget something. We have a team like the Jaguars who are struggling mightily to fill seats. London will be the biggest crowd the team has played in front of since 2002, maybe. It makes sense that they are going in this direction.

I'd bet my motorcycle that this is already a reality for "some" folks. Hypersonic maglev trains in underground/sea vacuum tubes. Do some research on the subterranne nuclear powered boring machine. This technology has been around for years. off topic but I had to post it.

As for NFL games in Europe I think its a good idea. I'd love to see a world bowl game every year after the Superbowl, in place of the probowl. Be like all madden team against the best players of other countries teams. Which we would crush every year! lol

For those that can afford it, that would be a nice little vacation. I'd go overseas to see the Titans if I could easily afford it. Damn straight.

even if I could afford it, I would still not go. I will not support the NFL playing games in london. This is an American sport that should be played on American soil
