I don't think anyone here realistically blames the refs for the loss. It was a factor though.

If that was Charles running the ball, is that a penalty? I don't think so.

Total speculation. If he sees Fokou pulling up, he lunges towards the marker if he's any kind of competitor.

This is like that scene from Rocko's Modern life when Rocko is trying to park at the mall and sees a sign that says, "Don't even think about parking here." then a police officer comes up to write him a ticket and he tries to say he was thinking about something else.

"Oh, Smith was trying to get out of bounds, he totally didn't really want the first down."

Yeah, that makes so much sense. Brilliant.

It SHOULD be reviewable. With high speed communication they should even be able consult a central committee of the BEST refs. It's not like the NFL is strapped for cash. That call and pierra are both full of chit. I can't stand that yes man league pole smoker r

I wish the NFL would just admit their mistakes when they are in the wrong instead of trying to take the other side where they come up with this sh** from Pierra. The integrity of the game is slowly dying because of goodell and his cronies

It'll be interesting to see if Fokou gets a big fine this week.

Look at the play again. AS "might" have turned it up field (speculation), but it looked more like he was trying to get out of bounds. That was late enough in the game where the Chiefs could have went for it on a manageable 4th down. What if they did and made it?

We don't know if we hold the Chiefs there. Sure, you could argue that it deffinitely helped them out...but if we going through all the bad calls in a single game, it often evens itself out. That is especially true in this game. Are we willing to take away the PI call on Berry on 3rd down which resulted in a Titans TD drive just to offset that call that favored the Chiefs?

I see a lot of people blaming the refs. But was it the refs the held the titans FOUR ****ING TIMES ON THE ONE YARD LINE? No, that was the Chiefs. You should be more pissed about the muffed punt than that call.

Yes. I don't know how they'd justify it, but then again, I don't know how justify throwing the flag.

Not enough talk about all the NON-calls when the chiefs would constantly PI our WRs. That was bogus as well.

Also I agree with GoT. If you simply aren't allowed to hit the QB and have to let the QB get extra yards when running, then if you are going to hit him you might as well hit dirty as possible. If legit tackles are 15 yard penalties then might as play dirty.

Dude...lay off the caffeine. I have replayed that hit 100 times trying to analyze every part of Smith's body..where his foot placement is, angle, where the 1st down marker was. There was no way he was going to make the first down but he knew he was about to get nailed. You are so filled with bias for your team you will invent anything to justify your position. You are basically saying there is no way Smith was trying to get out of bounds...and you base it on "he didn't want the first down"? That's your argument? Fortunately most of the analysts I listen to today realize the QB is a different animal and they place a premium on hits at the sideline. This is the NFL. If you don't like it take up watching badminton.

I think this sums it up well...http://espn.go.com/blog/tennessee-titans/post/_/id/1341/the-call-against-fokou-its-going-to-happen

How about your O-Line getting away with a an absurd amount of holds. And the Chiefs defensive backs play physical, if you can't handle that get out.
