In order to do that you first need to get him in the open field which has not happened yet this season. SOunds like coaches just making excuses.

I wouldn't give up on CJ AT ALL!

In Pittsburgh he didn't have a great YPC, but he had 70 yds and gave us what we needed. Texans and Chargers, he had good games. I was feeling good about him. Jets shut him down, but they are a top 5 rush D. This week, he goes against one of the bottom rush Ds in the league. Last time he went up against a bottom-7 rush D this year, he had his season-long rush and he averaged 4.74 YPC.

Everyone's saying sit him in fantasy, who gives a crap. The fact is that he isn't going to be in there inside the 5-yard line. Everytime he gets us inside the 5, we have taken him out for Battle and Greene (with the exception of when we ran the QB draw for the TD with Jake, cause CJ is the better blocker than the 2 power backs, oddly enough), which is fine. Let them pound out the hard yardage. I'm not concerned with fantasy. If he is giving 3.something ypc and drawing 8 in the box all day, then I'm happy. Run on 1st or 2nd down to keep the box honest, and we will have passing lanes all day long. Wright, Nate, Britt, Hunter, Williams ... all can do their thing. Single safety, and we can 15+ yd deep ball you to death ... 2 high safeties, and CJ can get a decent run behind a pulling CWarmack all day. I don't see how a D can cover this offense all game long, now that we have an elite Oline put together up front. Now, if they find or create holes in our Oline, then everything will fall apart for us. It's the crutch that holes all our secrets together.

He's NOT, but if we had Kap or Russ he would BE unstoppable out of the read option.

I have him fantasy. I just don't see how you can sit a guy like CJ. He could take it to the house at any time. Every fantasy expert says to sit him for Lamar Miller, but I just can't do it.

I've had him every year except this year. I was picking 9th in a 10 team shake draft. Rd 1, QB Kap (#9 overall). Rd 2, WR Calvin Johnson (#11 overall). Rd 3, RB Ray Rice (#29 overall). Rd 4 RB MJD (#31 overall). CJ was going to be Rd 5 #49 overall. My best friend took him at #48 overall. hahaha I was upset, but ended up with Stephen Jackson at #49 then Shaub at #51 overall. I thought it was an amazing squad. Then, Kap is crap, all 3 of my starting RBs are hurt, Shaub is a pick-6 machine.

However, I did get the Broncos D ... but they are on the bench cause after the Texans game I got Titans D off waivers. hahaha

Dude I had the last pick in a 12 team snake draft. I got Forte at 12 and CJ at 13. My team ended up with QB Stafford (4th round) Forte and CJ, Colston and Steve Smith, Jared Cook, but I got Julius Thomas off waivers after the first game. Prater is my kicker, and I had the Broncos D, then dropped them for the Titans and used Cleveland this week. I'm 4-0 and hope to make it 5, but my team isn't as good as the other teams in the league. I can't sit CJ though, and I don't get made when he lays and egg because of his huge potential. He e should run wild after the bye week.

I don't trust the experts saying to sit him this week. Anytime he has playing a rush-D outside the top 10, he has got over 70 yds (2 of the 3 games he got 90+). He isn't going to give you to TD bonus, unless it's in the pass game or a 50+ yd homerun ... but against one of the bottom-10 rush Ds in the league and with Walker and this line, he is going to give you 80+ yds this week. I wouldn't start him on the road vs Seahawks next week, though. hahaha

I agree. Just hope we aren't revealed to be a couple of homers.

Its always funny to think about how CJ would be in an offense that actually utilized him as a playmaker, IE how the chiefs/Eagles get creative with Charles Mccoy
