Agreed. I think some people just automatically hate on a guy if he doesn't turn into a stud #1 WR or something. But there's definitely a place for "just solid" on any roster.

We could certainly do a lot worse for a #4 receiver.

The guy who i replied to wanted to have Nate and Wright on the outside, not Nate and DWill. I was saying Nate/Wright seem to be a bit short. I mean sometimes, yes, have them as the 2WRs, but don't make that the norm.

As for D-Will, I've always been a huge fan and I always talk him up here on these boards. I was always saying he needs more play time. The problem is now our we are really crowded at WR, so its not easy to get him on the field alot. Anyway, I thought he really played well when he got his chance to start several years ago for the 2nd half of the season. He was facing #1's and holding his own (Hawk also was starting if you recall). He catches everything. He's smart. And as you said, he can block.

I know he said Nate and Wright (I just changed it to what I thought was better:)...but I think that might impact the running game too much because Im not sure where Hunter is as a blocker but I know DWill in the past has been good. So IF we were to demote or deactivate Britt due to injury, I think they should put DWill as our #2...especially when in run sets. Hunter certaintly has the size to block and if this were Madden, you'd probably stick your 2 biggest WR's in for run blocking and use your best WR's on passing downs. It doesn't work that way in the NFL so we need balance. DWill is a good all around WR. He can block, play any of the positions, can run good route, has pretty good hands and has some shake and bake. Wright is more explosive, but I think he's a perfect slot guy. If hunter can block better then Wright or DWill, we will see a lot more Hunter. If not, Id go with Nate and Dwill bring Wright in at slot (#3) and Hunter at #4.

Hunter will put effort into it, but he is not a good blocker.

He was terrible at blocking at Tennessee and I assume he has improved a little, but probably not much.

If a team like the Pats or Saints picked up Britt, he'd turn into a monster. I'd almost guarantee it.

First of all, explain why you think. Give me some credible course of action for the reason he sucks here yet would be king somewhere else. Ready. Set. Go

How about we get Kendall Wright some more snaps? You know, the guy we spent a first round pick on and has two fully functional knees?

You may not like my answer but it's pretty simple really. Coaching and Quarterbacks. For some reason Titans almost never get much out of their wide receivers. A dissatisfied player like Britt would be rejuvenated if moved to a pass heavy offense with a great quarterback and good coaches. Right now the Titans don't really have either and haven't for a very long time if ever. Face it man, we've always been a run heavy team. It doesn't seem to matter whether we draft good receivers or not because we never really develop them. It's why we've never really won anything too.

The only thing Britt would have more of in a pass heavy offense is drops.

I'm not sure the saints scheme but the patriots is similar to what we ran last year. He would take time to get on page with Brady. Adding in the fact he isn't very smooth in his routes any more... I'm not sure that's the case.

We may not being throwing the ball as much as some of these air it out offenses... But we are keeping it balanced and... Britt has gotten looks... But he continues to drop em.

I've been watching different teams all 22... And britt has some sloppy ass routes in comparison. Our passing plays are very well timing based routes and britt just doesn't seem to be on the same page.. There's a reason why locker looks for Nate.. He's smooth and gets separation in the curls. Britt is getting none of that.
