This is the 3rd or 4th time I've seen you say this in the past few days. But I really don't think that has anything to do with it. It's more about how we were led to believe that he was the best center prospect in the draft and how our 2 HoF OL coaches were in love with the guy.

All that hype ever since the day we drafted him and now it's "he's not even on our radar"? A bit strange, injury or not.

Maybe he just isn't ready for the Big Time. Just because he was high in the draft doesn't mean he is NFL ready. I don't think there is anything with Turner's centering; it's just that he doesn't use good judgment. He has to work on that.

Agreed. The reasoning is a bit confusing. If they say they had him as the best center in the draft, that means that they had him rated higher than Travis Fredrick and guess what Fredrick has been starting for Dallas from day one. Something doesn't add up.

My fear is that our people know they blew it as talent evaluators and have realized that. It seemed odd to me that Dallas would take Fredrick so damn early if they thought Schwenke was even close to comparable. It all makes more sense if their scouts felt Fredrick was head and shoulders above Schwenke and they could not afford the possibility of missing out on him and being stuck with Schwenke since their need at C was so great. The Cowboys don't have the best scouts but they have a good track record spotting quality O-line prospects. Oh well, I hope I'm wrong and or reading too much into it.

I am not surprised we don't have many rookies starting this year, because we really do not have that many holes.

What rookie in the NFL this year could really start on this team? Ogletree maybe, Dion Jordan over Wimbley.....but not much else. Wasn't a good draft class for our team in general, I still think we did good for what we needed.

I agree for the most part. But so far Turner is looking like a rookie anyway. Just kinda funny that we supposedly got the best C in the draft, yet he's not even "on the radar" to start over a scrub journeyman who's proven to be more of a liability than an asset through 2 weeks.

That's a little too harsh. At least he's not Velasco.

Yeah, Ogletree would be great when we wanted to play three outside linebackers. ;)
