Jake threw two touchdown passes in the red zone. I am pleased to see him take that step after bit_hing about it last week! I think he can be the guy if he can get his confidence up. He has great chemistry with Washington, which makes me wonder if its not all Jake making bad throws out there. Is Nate the only guy who knows where he is supposed to be on his routes?

He won the game with his style of play. Locker couldnt do that. And has yet to show that he can do that in crunch time!

Yes and people just love to say they were the "first to know" something, so if today he's cold, people will assume he'll always play that way.

DW doesn't know what he's saying, but that never stops him.

But he has (huge?) problems finishing the season with his "style". Agreed, Locker still has to prove that too.
Schaub has only started all 16 games in 50% (3) of his seasons (6) with the Texans. The other 3 he has only play 11, 11 and 10 games.

Being a couple of days removed from Sunday's game, I'm trying to look at Locker's play with a bit more clarity.

The reality is great QBs make the throws with people in their face. Locker isn't going to get the luxury of a clean pocket most of the time. He is not good enough, right now, to settle down and make the throw when things are flying all around him with any kind of consistency. He often rushes the pass and isn't the kind of QB who seems accurate unless his mechanics are solid.

The first play against the Steelers was a great example of a Locker making a solid pass with a player in his face. He stepped up and made the throw.

To be fair, Turner has been horrible at times. Warmack was bad Sunday. Even Levitre had his issues against the Texans. The OL has to play better or Locker will struggle.

No. It isn't terrible. He's ranked 17th out of 33 QB's in total QBR after facing the toughest 2 game stretch as far as defenses faced in the first 2 weeks of the season. It was also his like his 13th or 14th start in the league I think. That is not terrible. Had he faced average defenses the first 2 games, perhaps he's probably in the top 10 in total QBR. How exactly, is it terrible if you still think it is.

    I'll tell you what's terrible.

3.3 yards per carry. 0 tds. Nearly highest paid RB in the league. Now that is terrible.
