Why can't both quarterbacks be trusted leaders? Is there some law that a team has to have only 1 leader qb? That's what I'm talking about when I say mindset. It is so annoying to me and all of football has it. I've never understood why.

Definitely agree with this. And the truly baffling thing is, there really isn't any evidence (that I'm aware of) that Locker even has a fragile psyche. In fact, I'd actually put "mental fortitude" near the top of the list of his best traits. He doesn't seem to let stuff bother him much and if he makes a mistake he gets right back out there and tries to make up for it. He definitely doesn't seem to me like the kind of guy who's going to completely meltdown if he throws a couple early picks (a la 'He Who Shall Not Be Named').

Its like when your dad says no and you go ask mom and she says yes, it just creates problems when there's 2 guys in charge.

Look at Jerry Gray and Greg Williams. They know they can't be together on the field for that reason, it creates friction when adversity hits.

Sorry for the long post guys, but I tend to get long-winded when I vent :)

Still doesn't answer my question. Why does it? Why should it? They are adults, right? And working for the same cause.

Dont ask me, its just that way.

FWIW Ive seen a few teams make it work at the college level, but never really in the pros. My guess is theres simply not enough time to get 2 QB's the number of reps needed.

Nobody bats an eye when every other position subs in and out but quarterbacks are pampered and treated like the King of the team. It might cost the starter a pro bowl berth, but if I'm a starting qb, I just want to win games. We sub the receivers in and out and nobody thinks that is a crime. There is little doubt in my mind that Fitz would have completed that 3rd down pass to Britt for a td. But you could never do it because it would hurt the poor starter's ego and crush his confidence. That's the culture of the NFL and it is infuriating to me. It doesn't mean that he should take Locker's spot as a starter, but it could win games and if not for the culture making a big deal out of it, the Starter would take it gladly.

It's like every other player is required to be a team player but the QB is the one person exempt from that. He gets the credit and the blame for wins/losses. Which is another thing that aggravates the crap outta me.

you need to take a look at the jets from last year with the sanchez and tebow situation. That failed horribly with switching in qb's time and time again. It seemed the team had two different personalities where it was terrible and a joke.

I commend you for not letting us discourage you on this 2 QB thing, but it doesnt work in the NFL.

And the reason you see other positions subbing in-out is because they're tired. QB's dont get tired standing around.

Yeah, but that situation was taking out 1 bad qb and putting in a worse one. With the right personnel that could work.
