    Great Idea I think.

It doesn't have to be the cop that gets assaulted, it can be someone nearby who starts a fight with another fan that has no idea he's being watched by a cop

I also doubt the cops are going to try to antagonize, unless they just hate watching an nfl game for free.

Worst I have seen is Buffalo, which is where I go the most.
    • Multiple incidents of Bills fans peeing on opposing team's fans in the restroom
    • A Patriots fan in a Brady jersey having a pota-potty tipped over while he is in it. Then his pregnant wife gets shoved down when yelling at the guys who tipped the toilet

No its all about antagonizing. The cop could just as easily be in a home jersey. I'm not down on curbing violence at games at all I just think that there are other ways to go about it than sticking cops in visitors jerseys.... what good can that do other than make people think twice about messing with someone in visitor gear. Which is the whole point, I understand that, but I still think it just complicates the situation.

The porta potty thing was in the parking lot. They had their first night game in years there last year. It was like a war zone. Because instead of having a few hours to get tanked before the game they had all day. An opposing fan actually died.

I agree, they should put cops in home and visitor jerseys. It would definitely help the cause. Does anyone think this will become popular with nfl security? I think this will work and it will be happening at all games in the future.
