I think it's sad that opposing fans can't follow their team with ought getting harassed by home team fans. I had some issues in tamp bay myself years ago and I was only rooting for the titans, and said nothing negative toward the buccaneers. I know football is a violent sport, fans get rowdy but one day I want to take my family to see a game and not see fan violence but IDK if that is possible

My wife is from Louisiana. She really wanted to go to the saints titans game and lsu vols game, and wear her swamp people gear.

I refused. I told her that I'd end up in jail for beating some drunk hillbilly's azz when he said stuff or threw things out heaven help him, grope things.

I can take if it's just the boys. You talk **** to the wife, and it's on.

I used to live in the deep south and attended a few saints games and always wore Titans gear there, and I didn't get any harassment nor did I see any hate on fans of the other team. New Orleans is one of the meanest cities in the country. Maybe I just got lucky and was not witness to it. /shrug That said I can understand that people want to be safe at games and enjoy it without a buncha drama, but there have to be other ways of combating this type of behavior than to have cops posing as fans of the other team. It would be more of a deterrent to just have them in uniform throughout the stadium. What happens when a cop gets his ass kicked by a fan? If he were in uniform it wouldn't have happened in the first place. Hypotheticals but still.

another thing... Aty what point does a cop take action if he is dressed as a visiting fan? Throw popcorn at the guy and he arrests you for assault? I mean for a situation to escalate to the point of fists flying there sually has to be some back talk back and forth... whatever... I still don't like the idea lol

I like this idea, it's keeps things from getting out of hand, and you can still razz the opposing fans, just dont be an azzhole and you're fine.

When I tend away games I have more scuffles in the parking lot walking up to the stadium, how they gonna handle that? Not that its too bad, but its worse outside then inside the stadiums.

My son and I attended the MNF game vs the Jets last season. There was this stupid Bich behind us drinking and cussing (and yes...a J...E...T...S... Jets Jets Jets fan. ) Talking smack and disrespecting our team. As much as I wanted to knock her the hell out, I kept my calm and let the Titans do the rest. As the game went on, she got quieter and quieter. When the the game was over many Titan fans were yelling "We Want Tebow!" Funny as hell. She never said another word. Bich.

How does it keep things from getting out of hand? If anything it would antagonize a conflict. Its a scare tactic by law enforcement which wont work in my opinion, only complicate the situation.

I hear ya man, I have seen more issues outside the stadium when I am leaving games than before the game or inside the stadium.

I think she learned her lesson haha! When you go in to an opposing stadium you can root for your team but be respectful at the same time because you really don't want to draw too much attention to yourself. It only takes one jerk to start something. The Jets chant was obnoxious, she should realize that it only works when it is done in NY with 70,000 jets fans as opposed to a few jets fans in the Titans stadium lol

I have a friend with two small children who lives in DT Seattle and wants to bring his kids to games. He is very happy about this operation after years of going to Raiders games.

The Black Hole is asking for trouble imo.... they have to even wear darth vader masks to cover the uglyness as well as the tears from all the bad years. Those fans are angry as I can imagine
