    He gets way too jittery.

I think for Jake it's more a mental thing than it is talent or physical.

Guy just doesn't have it upstairs.

With that said- he did impress me making many good throws today though. Better than usual. And no costly errors.

I know this will sound like I'm grasping at straws but I get the feeling that Jake is suffering from damaged woman syndrome where he's had such bad pass protection in the pass that he can't recognize or appreciate good pass protection when he gets it.

He had plenty of time to throw today but he still looked twitchy/uncomfortable and I think/hope it was due to just having to get used to the idea that he actually has time to throw and he doesn't have to rush everything. I hope I'm right but if I'm honest deep down sometimes I think you might be.

I actually don't think Jake played all that bad today. Maybe it's the win that makes my judgement a little bit more liberal toward him, but he didn't play all that bad from his usual self.

I posted an article this week on how LeBeau owns QBs he faces for the first time. Locker had some bad passes but a few good ones. No turnovers.

You want to see more from Locker but I take it against the Steelers at their house.

    Wait...what?

I thought Locker had a pretty good game considering we were up against a top ranked defense and our run game was going no where. Yeah there were a couple plays I didn't like from him but he made some nice plays, actually learned to slide, and made a few nice throws on 3rd down. He didn't lose the game for us, he didn't turn the ball over, and he's a threat with his legs keeping the defense honest. Once we get that run game going and can work more of that play action we're going to have a dynamic offense.

The play calling I didn't really like, agree with that.

I was frustrated by the lack of play action and changing up the snap count. You have to throw Polamalu off his game by changing the snap count. Locker was effective this preseason on play action throws not just straight drop backs. Good to see Loggains adjust in the second half though.

Locker will lose a game or two for us this year. I believe that and it is unfortunate.

This offense is a QB away from doing some special things.

Look around the league at 2nd and 3rd year (even EJ Manuel yikes) and they are beyond where Locker is now.

I'll give him the rest of the season before I start calling for a change.

I can't argue with this assessment. His issue has always seemed mental to me. Some argue that confidence would fix it. I like to hope that's true... but the playcalling we saw early in this game seemed to rail against any confidence buiding.

    Run the ball, Loggains!

That was my main issue... the play calling. I thought it was horrible.
