    I made this visual for everyone showing our success on opening day the last 10 season, IDK if it means anything, but what the hell, why not...

    Well according to that we have never lost more the two OD games in a row so we should be due for a win... Yay?

    Meanwhile Pittsburgh hasn't lost a home opener since 2002. :shakehead:

    This is going to be a very difficult game. Heinz Field will be rocking.

    I guess the point of it is to show we need to win opening day for us to have a smooth season.

    Lost opening day 2012, went on to win 6 games
    Win opening day 2011, go on to win 9 games

    Mike Munchak teams need to catch a break or two to be relevant.

    We didn't win opening day of 2011 though.. we won our home opener in 2011 against Baltimore, but we lost the season opener at Jacksonville.

    2012 = lost opener, 6 wins
    2011 = lost opener, 9 wins
    2010 = Won opener, 6 wins
    2009 = lost opener, 8 wins
    2008 = won opener, 13 wins
    2007 = won opener, 10 wins
    2006 = lost opener, 8 wins
    2005 = lost opener, 4 wins
    2004 = won opener, 5 wins
    2003 = won opener, 12 wins
    2002 = won opener, 11 wins
    2001 = lost opener, 7 wins
    2000 = lost opener, 13 wins
    1999 = won opener, 13 wins.

    It seems pretty random to me, not much correlation. But it never hurts to win the opener.
