I haven't broken or injured anything in a while, but I am glad that someone doesn't have a lot of money invested in me healing quickly! Seems like these players are getting quick fixes for long-term problems more often than not.

lololololol seriously? you cant really be taught to be a great blocker like Thompson....just ask jared cook hahahha but he has hands he just needs to run crisper routes which is way easier to learn than how to lead a long run by cj or a 4 yard td be greene! matter fact id love to line up Thompson in the slot by britt and run a toss sweep pulling warmack or levitre can you imagine the guard leveling the end or lb or whoever he sees first then Thompson and britt destroying all those pesky lil dbs

Exactly. Dudes got a place on this team for a reason. He plays with fire and mauls defenders in the run game.

You have to understand that, in the fifth and sixth round, you are in the bargain bin. A guy with Thompson's measurable that was a proven, polished receiver would be a first round pick.

We have already gotten our value with him as a blocker. If he becomes a solid receiver, it'd a home run.

I have yet to see Thompson's hands. Mitts, yes, good hands... not so much. I am simply playing Devil's Advocate here. I like Thompson and agree that he has a spot on this team. He will get better and his route running looks night and day different from last year! It sucks that Doyle didn't work out, because I think him attending Western Kentucky had something to do with him not being drafted. He was solid here, but made some rookie drops. Everyone in this forum loves Kendell Wright, but he is rated as fantasy football's #9 receiver in drops based on last year's performance. He also had a drive-killing drop this preseason. My point is this: Doyle will be a solid pass-catching TE in this league and will learn how to be a better blocker. Doyle will get his shot in Indy and I think he will perform when called upon. It sucks that Walker missed most of the preseason because he could have probably filled Quinn Johnson's role and the cuts might have shaken out differently. I wonder why Thompson didn't get looks at FB.
