And a time will come when we'll hear of players suing the NFL because they felt their careers were shortened due to low tackles.

    How about that?

A defensive back going low against a big guy.......

****, you see Griffin do it all the time. IMO low hits are far more dangerous than high ones.

I'm honestly surprised there hasn't been a significant rise in lower body injuries with all of the flags and fines.

I'm even more shocked that his mandatory knee pad didn't save him...

But for real, they will start putting padding on the crowns of helmets soon.

Its the most stupid rule in the NFL right now. I can't think of the last serious knee injury that came from actual contact with a football player. Common sense should tell you that knee injuries come from moving it in a direction it isn't supposed to go, not contact.

He didn't try to tackle, he went for the knees with the intention of hurting. That's not a "low tackle", that's spearing a dude's legs. Typical Texan fag taunting afterwards too.

Hines Ward was right when he said you can get rid of helmets if you want to get rid of concussions. Guys will play different. Defensive players will actually have to tackle instead of just try and drill someone.

That's a stupid idea. What happens in pile ups when tackling RBs near the line of scrimmage? Knees to the head, elbows and other body parts exterting tons of pressure on unprotected heads..

And what about in the open field when tackling and a guy's knee hits the tackler in the face?

What about a jump ball in which the defender falls on his back and snaps his head on the turf?

Just a stupid idea all the way around.
