    Seriously, after reading this article on the great "next coming" of Peyton Manning in (Andrew Luck), how in God's green earth, do the Indianapolis Colts go from "finally" losing Manning and plummeting to a 2-14 record, to being able to draft this kid and rocket right back into contention status at 11-5???

    The Colts have won a Superbowl and been to another during the past ten years, I think it's time the football God's cast the Tennessee Titans back into sea of good fortune and contention status of our own, after watching the parade go by for far too many years now....I really hope Jake Locker steps up this year and puts the entire league on notice of great things to come, on his own arm;

    Similar thing happened to the San Antonio Spurs. They had David Robinson out for the year. Ended up with the worst record and first overall pick. Took Tim Duncan. Set them up real nice.

    At least Luck moves around a lot and gets hit. Not like Manning. Dude would throw an INT to avoid a hit if he had to. Smart in the long run.

    Maybe just maybe, they intentionally made it happen that way. Saw a sure fire franchise qb coming up in the draft so they cut Manning loose and tanked the season so they could pick up the new one.

    Not saying it for sure happened that way but it looked mighty suspicious.

    They held out Peyton manning for the year to get Andrew Luck. Never mind that they left him on the active roster for most of the year in hopes that he'd come back.

    :rolleyes:

    I'm a big conspiracy theorist, and part of me wonders if Jim Irsay isn't some genius mastermind, saw that Luck didn't come out the year the Panthers had the 1st pick and knew he'd be special, also knew he had Manning going to need surgery and a coach that was a dead man walking and just set the whole thing up himself.

    I would never have said it then, but I was hoping we'd lose both games to them that year just so they couldn't get the first pick. But you saw where it was going and there was no way to stop it. FML

    Who cares?

    The thing that kills me is that everyone acts like Luck is some God.

    Dude wasn't that great last year.

    He threw the ball a lot. That's all. He's got more accuracy issues than Locker does... and that's a very bad thing.

    Locker isn't intelligent enough to run an offense. No offense to those who have all their hopes riding on him, but he is no Tom Brady. He is more McNair like than Breeze like.

    That said, McNair is the only Quaterback to get the Titans to a SuperBowl. However, That was when the Titans were BRUTE FORCE, not Finesse. It seems we are going back to the BRUTE FORCE approach.
