I don't know about all of you, but I can't wait to see our LB core this year. Ayers, Brown, and a healthy (I know, I know...Give him time lol) Colin McCarthy could be pretty exciting to watch. Gooden could also have great upside in years to come as well. Zach brown was really turning it up towards the end, and I think the addition of Gregg Williams will provide a much more aggressive defense this year. If McCarthy stays healthy...GREAT! If he doesn't, at least the Titans will still have 3 young playmaking LB's to build around and they could always trade or draft a MLB next year. What do you guys think? Has anyone heard anything good about Zavier Gooden this offseason?

Its looking good, and it should be good. But the Titans have broke more hearts than Mila Kunis . I remain optimistic but I wouldn't bet the family farm due to other seasons. ( Most recent 2008, we were robbed by the Ravens, for at least the second time.

I agree that's a nice young core as long as McCarthy can stay healthy and we finally have some quality depth at the position.

I've heard nothing about Gooden. Didn't we hear a lot about Brown this time of year?

    Devil's advocate....

Ayers - His tackling is suspect actually.... He really needs to improve in that department. In the end tackling is an LBs bread and butter, and to be frank, he's not as good as he should be.

C-Mac - Even when he is healthy, he needs to be free to make plays. I've seen him many times get swallowed by pulling linemen. He needs to get a bit stronger to be able to free himself up.

Brown - One year is never proof of anything...

Still with all that, this could easily be our best unit next year. But (as with all LBs) scheme and the D-line's ability to eat blocks will really determine their success. Our LBs are ALL more athletic than physical and that means they need to be free to run and make plays. Lets hope the line can dominate up front, b/c our LBs will explode on the scene if they do....

I just hope that our LBs can stop the opposing teams TEs for once. Theres nothing like forcing a 3rd and 8, then watching the their TE pick up the first every **** time!
